他的母亲对仆人们说：“他吩咐你们什么，你们就做什么。”照犹太人洁净的规矩，有六口石缸摆在那里。每缸可容两三桶水。耶稣对仆人们说：“把这些缸装满水。”他们就装满了，直到缸沿。耶稣又对他们说：“现在舀出来，送去给管宴席的。”他们就送去了。

于是耶稣差派了他的两个门徒，对他们说：“你们进城去，会有一个人提着一罐水迎面而来，你们就跟着他。他进哪一家，你们就对那家的主人说：‘老师问：我的客房，就是我与我的门徒们一起吃逾越节晚餐的客房在哪里呢？’他会给你们看楼上一间预备好的大房间。你们就在那里为我们预备吧。”两个门徒出去，进了城，所看到的正如耶稣对他们所说的。他们就预备了逾越节的晚餐。

说：“你们到对面的村子里去。你们一进村，就会发现一头驴驹拴在那里，是从来没有人骑过的。你们把它解开牵过来。如果有人问你们为什么解开它，你们就这样说‘主需要它。’”被差派的人去了，发现事情正如耶稣所告诉他们的。

耶稣说：“你们进城去，到某人那里，告诉他：‘老师说，我的时候快到了。我要在你那里与我的门徒们一起守逾越节。’”
