人若不住在我里面，就像枝子丢在外面枯干了，人把它们拾起来，丢在火里烧掉了。

他们声称认识神，却在行为上否认他。他们是可憎的、悖逆的，在各样的善事上，是毫无用处的。

耶稣对树说：“永远再没有人吃你的果子了！”他的门徒也听见了。

不义的，要他仍旧不义；污秽的，要他仍旧污秽；行义的，要他仍旧行义；圣洁的，要他仍旧圣洁。”

耶稣讲了这样一个比喻：“有一个人把一棵无花果树栽在自己的葡萄园里。他来到树那里找果子，却找不到。他对管园的说：‘你看，这三年，我来到这棵无花果树那里找果子，却找不到，把它砍了吧！何必白占地土呢？’管园的说：‘主人，今年且留着它，等我把周围的泥土挖松，加上肥料；以后结果子就罢，不然，再把它砍了。’”

现在斧头已经放在树根上，所有不结好果子的树，就砍下来，丢在火里。”

我为我的葡萄园所作的以外，还有什么要作的呢？我期望它结出好葡萄，它为什么倒结出野葡萄呢？现在我告诉你们，我要怎样处理我的葡萄园：我要把它的篱笆撤去，使它被吞灭；我要把它的围墙拆毁，使它被践踏。

这些人胆敢与你们同席，他们只顾喂饱（“喂饱”或译：“牧养”）自己，是你们爱筵中的暗礁；是无雨的浮云，随风飘荡；是秋天不结果子的树，连根拔起，死而又死；

这就像一块地，吸收了常常下在它上面的雨水，如果长出对种植的人有用的菜蔬，就从神那里得福。但如果这块地长出荆棘和蒺藜来，就被废弃，近于咒诅，结局就是焚烧。

所有属我而不结果子的枝子，他就剪去；所有结果子的，他就修剪干净，让它结更多的果子。

如果他们因为认识我们的主、救主耶稣基督，可以脱离世上的污秽，后来又在其中被缠住、受制伏，他们末了的景况，就比先前的更不好了。既然认识了义路，竟又背弃传给他们的圣诫命，对他们来说，倒不如不认识好得多了。他们的情形，正像俗语所说的：“狗转过来，又吃自己所吐的；猪洗净了，又到污泥中去打滚。”

有敬虔的形式，却否定敬虔的能力；这些人你应当避开。

说：“巴不得你在这日子，知道关于你平安的事，但现在这事在你眼前是隐藏的。日子将到，你的仇敌必筑垒攻击你，周围环绕你，四面困住你，要摧毁你和你里面的儿女，没有一块石头留在另一块石头上面，因为你不知道那眷顾你的时期。”
