不常在我里面的人就像丢在外面枯干的枝子，最后只有被人拾起来丢在火里烧掉。

他们自称认识上帝，在行为上却否认祂。他们令人可憎，悖逆成性，一无是处。

祂对那棵树说：“愿无人再吃你的果子！”祂的门徒都听见了这句话。

不义的，让他继续不义；污秽的，让他继续污秽；公义的，让他保持公义；圣洁的，让他保持圣洁。”

于是，耶稣说了一个比喻：“有人在葡萄园里种了一棵无花果树，他去树那里找果子，却找不到。他对园丁说，‘三年来，我一直盼望它结果子，它却一个也没结。把它砍了，免得白占土地。’“园丁请求说，‘主人，再留它一年吧！让我在它四周松土、施肥，明年如果结了果子就留它，否则再砍掉它。’”

现在斧头已经放在树根上了，不结好果子的树都要被砍下丢在火里。”

我不遗余力地料理葡萄园，希望得到好葡萄，为什么得到的只是坏葡萄呢？“现在，我告诉你们我会怎样处理这葡萄园，我要除去篱笆，任它被毁坏；我要拆毁围墙，任它被践踏。

这些人在你们的爱宴中是败类。他们肆无忌惮地吃喝，是只顾喂养自己的牧人；是没有雨的云，随风飘荡；是深秋不结果子的树，被连根拔起，彻底枯死。

一块经常受到雨水滋润的田地若为耕种的人长出庄稼来，就蒙上帝赐福；若长出来的尽是荆棘和蒺藜，就毫无价值，它会面临被咒诅的危险，最后必遭焚烧。

属于我的枝子如果不结果子，祂就把它剪掉；如果结果子，祂便修剪它，让它结更多的果子。

如果他们借着认识我们的主和救主耶稣基督，已经摆脱了世俗的污秽，但后来又被这些事缠住、俘虏了，他们的处境会比以前更糟糕。他们明知道正路，却背弃了传给他们的神圣诫命，这样倒不如不知道的好。俗语说得好：“狗转过身来，吃自己所吐的；猪洗干净了，又回到污泥里去打滚。”这些话正好用在他们身上。

虚有敬虔的外表，却无敬虔的实质。你要避开这样的人。

说：“今天你若知道那能带给你平安的事就好了！可惜这事现在是隐藏的，你看不见！因为有一天敌人要在你周围筑起壁垒把你团团围住，四面攻击你。他们要把你夷为平地，毁灭你城墙里的儿女，不会留下两块叠在一起的石头，因为你没有认识到上帝眷顾你的时刻。”
