前行後隨的羣眾都喊着說：『願頌讚歸於大衛的子孫哦！奉主名來的是當受祝頌的！在至高之處獻頌讚哦！』

羣眾中有幾個法利賽人對耶穌說：『先生，責備你門徒吧。』耶穌回答說：『我告訴你們，這些人若不作聲，石頭也會喊起來的！』

祭司長和經學士直想法子要怎樣殺掉耶穌；他們是懼怕民眾的。

到了早晨，眾祭司長和民間的長老商議怎樣陷害耶穌、來治死他；

耶穌從那裏往前走，有兩個瞎子跟着他，喊着說：『大衛的子孫哪，憐恤我們吧！』

天一亮，民間的長老會，連祭司長帶經學士都聚集，把耶穌帶走、到他們的議院裏，說：

祭司長和法利賽人早已發了命令：若有人知道耶穌在哪裏，就該報告，他們好去逮他。

經上豈不是說：「基督是出於大衛的後裔，大衛所在的村子伯利恆」麼？』

永恆主啊，你的手高舉，他們仍然不看；願他們看你為人民發的熱心而慚愧；哦，願那為你敵人保留的火吞滅他們。

這些日子有一天，耶穌在殿院裏教訓人民、傳福音的時候、祭司長和經學士同長老上前來，

祭司長和經學士聽見了，就想法子要怎樣殺滅耶穌；他們怕他；因為全羣的人都因他的教訓而驚駭。

祭司長和長老挑唆羣眾、求要巴拉巴而殺滅耶穌。

耶穌進了殿院，正教訓人的時候，祭司長和民間的長老們上他跟前來，說：『你仗着甚麼權柄作這些事啊？誰給你這權柄呢？』

於是法利賽人就彼此說：『可見你們是無濟於事的；你看，世界都去跟着他了！』

祭司長和全議院直尋假見證告耶穌，好治死他；

『關於基督，你們以為怎樣？他是誰的子孫呢？』他們對他說，『大衛的。』

那時法利賽人聽見耶穌收門徒並施洗禮比約翰還多；

那時祭司長和民間的長老聚集在稱為該亞法的大祭司院子裏，

於是祭司長和法利賽人召集了議院的會，說：『這個人行着許多神迹，我們怎麼辦呢？若由着他這樣，眾人都會信他，羅馬人就會來，連我們的聖地帶我們民族都奪取了去啊。』其中有一個人、那年做大祭司的該亞法、對他們說：『你們甚麼都不懂；
