前行后随的人群呼喊说：“和散那归于大卫的后裔！奉主名而来的那一位——是蒙祝福的！在至高之处——和散那！”

人群中有一些法利赛人对耶稣说：“老师，责备你的门徒吧！”耶稣回答说：“我告诉你们：这些人如果不做声，石头都会呼喊起来！”

祭司长们和经文士们在图谋怎样能杀掉耶稣，因为他们怕民众。

到了清晨，所有的祭司长和民间的长老商议对付耶稣，为要处死他。

耶稣从那里往前走，有两个瞎眼的跟着他，呼叫说：“大卫的后裔，可怜我们吧！”

一到天亮，民间的长老议会，包括祭司长们和经文士们，就聚集在一起。他们把耶稣带到议会里，

原来，祭司长们和法利赛人早就下令，如果有人知道耶稣在哪里，就要报告，好抓住他。

经上不是说，基督是大卫的后裔，是出自大卫的故乡伯利恒吗？”

耶和华啊，你的手高举，他们却不看！愿他们看到你对子民的热心就蒙羞；愿你为敌人所预备的烈火吞噬他们！

就在那些日子里，有一天耶稣在圣殿里教导民众、传福音的时候，祭司长们、经文士们和长老们一起上前来，

祭司长们和经文士们听了，就图谋怎样来除灭耶稣。原来他们怕耶稣，因为众人都对他的教导惊叹不已。

祭司长们和长老们挑唆众人，叫他们要巴拉巴，而除灭耶稣。

耶稣进了圣殿，正教导人的时候，祭司长们和民间的长老们前来问他：“你凭什么权柄做这些事？是谁给你这权柄的？”

于是法利赛人互相说：“可见你们真没用！看，这世界都跟随他去了。”

当时，祭司长们和全议会的人为了要处死耶稣，都在寻找伪证来控告他。

说：“关于基督，你们怎么看？他是谁的后裔呢？”他们说：“是大卫的后裔。”

耶稣知道，法利赛人听说他收门徒和施洗比约翰更多。

那时，祭司长们和民间的长老们聚集在叫该亚法的大祭司的宅院里，

于是祭司长们和法利赛人召集了议会，说：“这个人行了很多神迹，我们该做什么呢？如果任凭他这样下去，大家都会信他，罗马人就会来，夺取我们的圣地和国家！”其中有一个人叫该亚法，是当年的大祭司，对他们说：“你们什么都不懂！
