前呼后拥的群众喊叫着：“‘和散那’归于大卫的子孙，奉主名来的是应当称颂的，高天之上当唱‘和散那’。”

群众中有几个法利赛人对他说：“先生，责备你的门徒吧！”耶稣说：“我告诉你们，他们若不出声，石头都要呼叫了。”

到了早上，所有的祭司长和民间的长老商议怎样对付耶稣，好杀掉他。

耶稣离开那里的时候，有两个瞎子跟着他，喊着说：“大卫的子孙，可怜我们吧！”

天一亮，民间的长老、祭司长和经学家就都聚集，把他带到他们的公议会里，说：

祭司长和法利赛人早已下了命令：如果有人知道耶稣在哪里，就要前来报告，好去逮捕他。

圣经不是说基督是大卫的后裔，是从大卫本乡伯利恒出来的吗？”

耶和华啊！你的手高举，他们还是看不见。愿他们因看见你对子民的热心而惭愧；愿那为你的敌人预备的火吞灭他们。

有一天，耶稣在殿里教导人，宣讲福音，众祭司长、经学家和长老上前来，

祭司长和经学家听见了，就想办法怎样除掉耶稣，却又怕他，因为群众都希奇他的教训。

祭司长和长老怂恿群众，叫他们去要求释放巴拉巴，除掉耶稣。

耶稣进了圣殿，正在教导人的时候，祭司长和民间的长老前来问他：“你凭什么权柄作这些事？谁给你这权柄？”

于是法利赛人彼此说：“你们看，你们都是徒劳无功，世人都去跟随他了！”

祭司长和公议会全体都想找假证供来控告耶稣，好把他处死；

“你们对基督的看法怎样？他是谁的子孙呢？”他们回答：“大卫的子孙。”

那时，祭司长和民间的长老聚集在大祭司该亚法的官邸，

于是祭司长和法利赛人召开公议会，说：“这个人行了许多神迹，我们怎么办呢？我们若让他这样，所有的人都会信他，罗马人就会来，夺取我们的圣地，除灭我们的民族。”他们当中有一位该亚法，是那年作大祭司的，对他们说：“你们什么都不知道，
