他們來到耶路撒冷；耶穌進了殿院，就把殿院裏賣東西的和買東西的人趕出去，推倒了兌換銀錢的人的桌子、和賣鴿子的人的凳子；不許人拿着器皿從殿院子經過。便教訓他們說：『經上不是記着說：「我的殿必須稱為禱告之殿，給萬國的人用」麼？你們、倒使它做了強盜的巢穴了！』祭司長和經學士聽見了，就想法子要怎樣殺滅耶穌；他們怕他；因為全羣的人都因他的教訓而驚駭。

『人獻給永恆主的供物若以禽鳥中的為燔祭，他就要從斑鳩或雛鴿中帶着他的供物來獻上。

『他若手頭緊、夠不着獻一隻小羊，他就要為了他所犯的罪把兩隻斑鳩、或是兩隻雛鴿、帶到永恆主面前做賠罪物：一隻作為解罪祭，一隻作為燔祭。

永恆主你的上帝賜福與你的時候、永恆主你的上帝所要選擇做立他名的地方若離你太遠，而那路又太長，以致你不能把獻物帶到那裏去，那麼你就可以換成銀子，將銀子綁在手臂上，到永恆主你的上帝所要選擇的地方去，用這銀子買你心之所欲的，無論是牛、是羊、是清酒、是濃酒，凡你心所想要的、都可以買；在那裏、你要在永恆主你的上帝面前喫喝歡樂，你和你的家眷都要歡樂。

以下這一點錢是他們所要給的：凡按次序走過去而屬於那些有資格被點閱的人、每人要按聖所的平獻銀子半舍客勒；這半舍客勒是奉給永恆主的提獻物：一舍客勒是二十季拉。

那人要獻上一隻斑鳩、或是一隻雛鴿、就是他手頭所夠得着的；

『他若手頭緊、夠不着獻兩隻斑鳩或是兩隻雛鴿，他就要為了所犯的罪把他的供物帶來、就是細麵伊法的十分之一、作為解罪祭；可不要放上油，也不要加上乳香，因為這是解罪祭。
