You must pay them their wages each day before sunset because they are poor and are counting on it. If you don’t, they might cry out to the Lord against you, and it would be counted against you as sin.

The brothers approached the manager of Joseph’s household and spoke to him at the entrance to the palace.

A church leader is a manager of God’s household, so he must live a blameless life. He must not be arrogant or quick tempered; he must not be a heavy drinker, violent, or dishonest with money.

And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide.I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.

He will judge everyone according to what they have done.He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers.But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and instead live lives of wickedness.There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on doing what is evil— for the Jew first and also for the Gentile.But there will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good— for the Jew first and also for the Gentile.

The enemy who planted the weeds among the wheat is the devil. The harvest is the end of the world, and the harvesters are the angels.“ Just as the weeds are sorted out and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the world.

“ But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne.

For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.

And the Lord replied,“ A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them.

so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.

Don’t move around from home to home. Stay in one place, eating and drinking what they provide. Don’t hesitate to accept hospitality, because those who work deserve their pay.

So look at Apollos and me as mere servants of Christ who have been put in charge of explaining God’s mysteries.Now, a person who is put in charge as a manager must be faithful.

This pleased Potiphar, so he soon made Joseph his personal attendant. He put him in charge of his entire household and everything he owned.From the day Joseph was put in charge of his master’s household and property, the Lord began to bless Potiphar’s household for Joseph’s sake. All his household affairs ran smoothly, and his crops and livestock flourished.So Potiphar gave Joseph complete administrative responsibility over everything he owned. With Joseph there, he didn’t worry about a thing— except what kind of food to eat! Joseph was a very handsome and well built young man,
