‘ You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired worker are not to remain with you all night until morning.

So they approached Joseph’s house steward, and spoke to him at the entrance of the house,

For the overseer must be beyond reproach as God’s steward, not self willed, not quick tempered, not overindulging in wine, not a bully, not greedy for money,

Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled, and no place was found for them.And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds.

who will repay each person according to his deeds:to those who by perseverance in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, He will give eternal life;but to those who are self serving and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, He will give wrath and indignation.There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of mankind who does evil, for the Jew first and also for the Greek,but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who does what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels.So just as the weeds are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the end of the age.

“ But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive compensation for his deeds done through the body, in accordance with what he has done, whether good or bad.

And the Lord said,“ Who then is the faithful and sensible steward, whom his master will put in charge of his servants, to give them their rations at the proper time?

so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.

Stay in that house, eating and drinking what they provide; for the laborer is deserving of his wages. Do not move from house to house.

and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who were contributing to their support out of their private means.

Now He was also saying to the disciples,“ There was a rich man who had a manager, and this manager was reported to him as squandering his possessions.And he summoned him and said to him,‘ What is this I hear about you? Give an accounting of your management, for you can no longer be manager.’

But Abram said,“ Lord God, what will You give me, since I am childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?”

This is the way any person is to regard us: as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.In this case, moreover, it is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy.

So Joseph found favor in his sight and became his personal servant; and he made him overseer over his house, and put him in charge of all that he owned.It came about that from the time he made him overseer in his house and over all that he owned, the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house on account of Joseph; so the Lord’s blessing was upon all that he owned, in the house and in the field.So he left Joseph in charge of everything that he owned; and with him there he did not concern himself with anything except the food which he ate. Now Joseph was handsome in form and appearance.

“ Now after a long time the master of those slaves* came and* settled accounts with them.

As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the multifaceted grace of God.
