“ So when evening had come, the owner of the vineyard said to his steward,‘ Call the laborers and give them their wages, beginning with the last to the first.’

And when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the laborers, and pay them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.

“ Do not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages due a hired worker must not remain with you until morning.

You are to pay him his wages each day before the sun sets, because he is poor and depends on them. Otherwise he will cry out to the LORD against you, and you will be held guilty.

So they approached Joseph’s steward and spoke to him at the doorway of the house.

As an overseer of God’s household, he must be blameless, not arrogant, not hot-tempered, not an excessive drinker, not a bully, not greedy for money,

Then I saw a great white throne and one seated on it. Earth and heaven fled from his presence, and no place was found for them.I also saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged according to their works by what was written in the books.

He will repay each one according to his works:eternal life to those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality;but wrath and anger to those who are self-seeking and disobey the truth while obeying unrighteousness.There will be affliction and distress for every human being who does evil, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek;but glory, honor, and peace for everyone who does what is good, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek.

and the enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.Therefore, just as the weeds are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age.

“ When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each may be repaid for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

The Lord said,“ Who then is the faithful and sensible manager his master will put in charge of his household servants to give them their allotted food at the proper time?

so also Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they offer, for the worker is worthy of his wages. Don’t move from house to house.

Now he said to the disciples,“ There was a rich man who received an accusation that his manager was squandering his possessions.So he called the manager in and asked,‘ What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your management, because you can no longer be my manager.’

But Abram said,“ Lord GOD, what can you give me, since I am childless and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?”

A person should think of us in this way: as servants of Christ and managers of the mysteries of God.In this regard, it is required that managers be found faithful.

Joseph found favor with his master and became his personal attendant. Potiphar also put him in charge of his household and placed all that he owned under his authority.From the time that he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s house because of Joseph. The LORD’s blessing was on all that he owned, in his house and in his fields.He left all that he owned under Joseph’s authority; he did not concern himself with anything except the food he ate. Now Joseph was well-built and handsome.

“ After a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them.

Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others, as good stewards of the varied grace of God.
