The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder,“ Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”

“ Be quiet!” the crowd yelled at them. But they only shouted louder,“ Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”

The crowd demanded that they keep quiet, but they cried out all the more,“ Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!”

But the crowd sternly warned them to be quiet; yet they cried out all the more,“ Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”

Then the multitude warned them that they should be quiet; but they cried out all the more, saying,“ Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”

And the multitude rebuked them, that they should hold their peace: but they cried out the more, saying, Lord, have mercy on us, thou son of David.

那時，有一些小孩子被帶到耶穌那裡，好讓耶穌按手在他們身上，給他們禱告。門徒們卻責備那些人。

不住地禱告，

耶穌對他們講了一個比喻，說他們必須常常禱告，不要喪膽。他說：「某城裡有一個審判官，他既不敬畏神，也不尊重人。那城裡有一個寡婦，經常到他那裡去，說：『請為我向我的對頭討個公道。』「法官一直不肯，但是後來心裡說：『即使我不敬畏神，也不尊重人，還是因為這寡婦不斷地煩擾我，我就為她討個公道，免得她一直來，到最後使我疲憊不堪！』」主接著說：「你們當聽這個不公義的審判官所說的！難道神絕不會給那些他所揀選、日夜向他呼求的人主持公道嗎？難道神會耽誤幫助他們嗎？我告訴你們：他會很快地給他們主持公道。不過人子回來的時候，難道在地上能找到這樣的信仰嗎？」

你們要恆切禱告，禱告中要保持警醒，懷著感謝的心。

走在前頭的人就責備他，要他安靜。可是，他卻更加大聲呼叫：「大衛的後裔，可憐我吧！」

「不斷祈求吧，就會給你們；不斷尋找吧，就會找到；不斷敲門吧，就會為你們開門。因為凡祈求的，就得到；尋找的，就找到；敲門的，就為他開門。

我告訴你們：即使不因著是朋友而起來拿給他，還是會因著他毫無羞愧地求，就起來把他所要的拿給他。「我還告訴你們：不斷祈求吧，就會給你們；不斷尋找吧，就會找到；不斷敲門吧，就會為你們開門。因為凡祈求的，就得到；尋找的，就找到；敲門的，就為他開門。

那人見自己勝不過他，就碰了他的大腿窩；於是雅各與那人摔跤的時候，大腿窩就脫節了。那人說：「天亮了，讓我走吧！」雅各說：「你不祝福我，我就不讓你走。」那人問他：「你叫什麼名字？」他回答：「雅各。」那人說：「你的名字不要再叫雅各，而要叫以色列，因為你已經與神與人較力，並且得勝了。」雅各問他說：「請把你的名字告訴我。」那人說：「為什麼要問我的名字呢？」他就在那裡祝福了雅各。

耶穌一句話也不回應，他的門徒們上前來求他，說：「這婦人一直跟在我們後面喊叫，請讓她走吧。」
