Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted,“ Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”

Now the crowds going ahead of Him, and those who followed, were shouting,“ Hosanna to the Son of David; Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest!”

Hear, you who are deaf! And look, you who are blind, so that you may see.

Then a demon possessed man who was blind and unable to speak was brought to Jesus, and He healed him so that the man who was unable to speak talked and could see.And all the crowds were amazed and were saying,“ This man cannot be the Son of David, can he?”

So because he was a prophet and knew that God had sworn to him with an oath to seat one of his descendants on his throne,

“ The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He anointed Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed,

We grope for the wall like people who are blind, We grope like those who have no eyes. We stumble at midday as in the twilight; Among those who are healthy we are like the dead.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord anointed me To bring good news to the humble; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim release to captives And freedom to prisoners;To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn,

At that very time He cured many people of diseases and afflictions and evil spirits; and He gave sight to many who were blind.

And a Canaanite woman from that region came out and began to cry out, saying,“ Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely demon possessed.”

Then the eyes of those who are blind will be opened, And the ears of those who are deaf will be unstopped.Then those who limp will leap like a deer, And the tongue of those who cannot speak will shout for joy. For waters will burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert.

I will lead those who are blind by a way they have not known, In paths they have not known I will guide them. I will turn darkness into light before them And uneven land into plains. These are the things I will do, And I will not leave them undone.”

As Jesus passed by, He saw a man who had been blind from birth.And His disciples asked Him,“ Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind?”Jesus answered,“ It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents; but it was so that the works of God might be displayed in him.We must carry out the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming, when no one can work.While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.”When He had said this, He spit on the ground, and made mud from the saliva, and applied the mud to his eyes,and said to him,“ Go, wash in the pool of Siloam”( which is translated, Sent). So he left and washed, and came back seeing.So the neighbors, and those who previously saw him as a beggar, were saying,“ Is this not the one who used to sit and beg?”Others were saying,“ This is he,” still others were saying,“ No, but he is like him.” The man himself kept saying,“ I am the one.”So they were saying to him,“ How then were your eyes opened?”He answered,“ The man who is called Jesus made mud, and spread it on my eyes, and said to me,‘ Go to Siloam and wash’; so I went away and washed, and I received sight.”And they said to him,“ Where is He?” He* said,“ I do not know.”

As Jesus went on from there, two men who were blind followed Him, crying out,“ Have mercy on us, Son of David!”And after He entered the house, the men who were blind came up to Him, and Jesus* said to them,“ Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They* said to Him,“ Yes, Lord.”Then He touched their eyes, saying,“ It shall be done for you according to your faith.”And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying,“ See that no one knows about this!”But they went out and spread the news about Him throughout that land.

The Lord opens the eyes of those who are blind; The Lord raises up those who are bowed down; The Lord loves the righteous.

concerning His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh,who was declared the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord,

And those who were blind and those who limped came to Him in the temple area, and He healed them.

On that day those who are deaf will hear words of a book, And out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of those who are blind will see.
