至日里閣、耶穌與門徒及群眾出邑時、有瞽者名巴底買、底買之子也、坐丐道旁、

『爾於基督之觀念若何？彼其誰之子耶？』曰：『大維裔。』

導前踵後、同聲呼曰：『賀三納兮、大維裔！奉主名而來兮、堪頌美！賀三納兮、高無極！』

時有挈一中魔者至、瞽且瘖、耶穌康復之；於是口能言、而目能視矣。眾愕然曰：『此其大維之子歟！』

大維先知也、自知曾蒙天主許誓、其後裔必有登其寶座者、

上主之神、臨我之身；恩膏沐首、大命是膺。天主遣我、所為何因：窮苦無告、得聆福音；俘囚獲釋、瞽者復明；困者以解、屈者以伸；

其時耶穌正治病療疾、祛魔啟盲、

有迦南婦人來自彼域、大呼曰：『主、大維子、其垂憐焉。吾女為魔所祟、苦甚』

耶穌於途中見一盲者、胎瞽也、門徒問曰、『夫子、此人生而盲果誰之咎？其本身乎？抑父母乎？』耶穌對曰：『非由其本身、亦非其父母之罪、惟欲使天主之功德、彰於其身耳。及茲白晝、吾儕當暢行遣予者之事、夜至則無能為矣。吾之在世、所以為世之光也。』言畢、乃唾於地、以沫和泥、敷盲者之目、諭曰：『往矣、自洗於西祿池。』西祿之為言、奉使也。盲者往洗、目明而歸。諸隣及曾見其乞食者、皆曰：『此非曩日坐而乞者乎？』或曰：『是也。』或曰：『非也、貌相似耳。』而其人自曰：『我即是也。』眾問曰：『汝目何由得啟？』曰：『彼名耶穌者、調泥敷我目、命我往洗於西祿、我既往洗、爰得明。』曰：『其人安在？』曰：『不知。』

耶穌既出、有盲者二人踵其後而呼曰：『大維子、其垂憐焉。』耶穌回寓、盲者隨至；乃詢之曰：『爾等果信予能行此乎？』對曰：『主、信也。』乃撫其目曰：『依爾之信、玉汝於成。』其目果明。耶穌嚴戒之曰：『慎毋令人知。』詎二人出而宣揚其名於通境。

瞽目藉復明。幽囚蒙開釋。

聖子者、即吾主耶穌基督；以其人性論之、乃出於大維之苗裔；以其神性論之、則為天主聖子、威靈顯赫、其自死者中復活、實為明證。

瞽者跛者、就耶穌於殿中、耶穌盡為治之、皆獲康復。
