When the ten heard about this, they were indignant with the two brothers.

Arrogance leads to nothing but strife, but wisdom is gained by those who take advice.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves.

So they began to argue among themselves which of them it could be who was going to do it.Then a dispute also arose among them about who should be considered the greatest.But he said to them,“ The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who have authority over them have themselves called‘ Benefactors.’

But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t boast and deny the truth.Such wisdom does not come down from above but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.For where there is envy and selfish ambition, there is disorder and every evil practice.But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without pretense.And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who cultivate peace.What is the source of wars and fights among you? Don’t they come from your passions that wage war within you?

Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not arrogant,
