慈伯德子雅谷伯若望謂耶穌曰：『夫子請允我所求。』耶穌曰：『何求？』對曰：『子享榮時、賜我一坐爾右、一坐爾左。』耶穌曰：『爾等亦昧于所求矣！我飲之爵、爾能飲乎？我受之洗、爾能受乎？』對曰：『能。』耶穌曰：『我飲之爵、爾固須飲；我受之洗、爾固須受；至坐我左右、非吾能賜、惟賜諸預為之備者。』十徒聞之、頗憾雅谷伯若望。耶穌召而諭之曰：『外邦所謂民牧者、以民為奴；而為大臣者、擅作威福。爾中則不應若是。爾中孰願為大、當為爾役；孰願居首、當為公僕。即人子之來、非以役人、乃為人役、且將舍生以贖眾矣。』

又有數婦、從遠望之、內有瑪達蘭之瑪麗、雅谷伯與若西之母瑪利亞、及沙羅梅、

舟中人羅拜曰：『汝真天主子。』

入室、果見嬰及其母瑪莉雅、乃對嬰俯伏而拜；啟寶笈、獻黃金、乳香、沒藥、以為禮。

婦趨前而拜曰：『主其助我。』

既見耶穌、禮拜之。尚有數人心竊疑之、
