家主回答他们当中的一个，说：‘朋友，我并没有亏待你。你我不是讲定了一个银币吗？

“主人回答他们其中的一个人，说：‘朋友，我并没有亏负你。我们不是彼此说好了一个银币吗？

家主回答其中的一人說：『朋友，我不虧負你，你與我講定的不是一錢銀子嗎？

主人回答其中的一人說：『朋友，我沒虧待你，你與我講定的不是一個銀幣嗎？

主人回答其中的一人說：『朋友，我沒虧待你，你與我講定的不是一個銀幣嗎？

「園主對他們當中的一個人說，『朋友，我並沒有欠你呀！我們不是講好付你一個銀幣嗎？

家主回答他們當中的一個，說：‘朋友，我並沒有虧待你。你我不是講定了一個銀幣嗎？

家主回答他們中間一個人說：「同伴哪，我不冤你；你不是和我約定了『一日工錢』麼？

「主人回答他們其中的一個人，說：『朋友，我並沒有虧負你。我們不是彼此說好了一個銀幣嗎？

園主謂其人曰、友、我未嘗負爾、爾非與我約金一錢乎、

園主謂其人曰、友、我未嘗不公待爾、爾非與我約金一錢乎、

園主謂其中一人曰、友、我未負爾、爾與我約、非一第拿流乎、

主謂其一曰：「友乎、我未負爾；爾非與我約以一錢乎？

“ But he answered one of them,‘ I am not being unfair to you, friend. Didn’t you agree to work for a denarius?

“ The owner answered one of them.‘ Friend,’ he said,‘ I’m being fair to you. Didn’t you agree to work for the usual day’s pay?

But he replied to one of them,‘ Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius?

“ He answered one of them,‘ Friend, I haven’t been unfair! Didn’t you agree to work all day for the usual wage?

“ He replied to one of them,‘ Friend, I’m doing you no wrong. Didn’t you agree with me on a denarius?

But he answered and said to one of them,‘ Friend, I am doing you no wrong; did you not agree with me for a denarius?

But he answered one of them and said,‘ Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius?

But he answered and said to one of them, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a shilling?

“ He replied to one of them,‘ Friend, I’m doing you no wrong. Didn’t you agree with me on a denarius?

But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?

And the landowner replied to one of them,‘ Friend, I am not treating you unfairly. Didn’t you agree with me to work for the standard wage?

and he said to him,‘ Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?’ He was speechless.

Jesus said to him,“ Friend, why are you here?” Then they came and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.

What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? May it never be!For he said to Moses,“ I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”

Who goes in company with the workers of iniquity, and walks with wicked men?For he has said,‘ It profits a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.’“ Therefore listen to me, you men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness, from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.For the work of a man he will render to him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.Yes surely, God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert justice.

Should even one who hates justice govern? Will you condemn him who is righteous and mighty?—Who says to a king,‘ Vile!’ or to nobles,‘ Wicked!’?

“ Do you think this to be your right, or do you say,‘ My righteousness is more than God’s,’

Will you even annul my judgment? Will you condemn me, that you may be justified?

But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed ask him who formed it,“ Why did you make me like this?”

May it be far from you to do things like that, to kill the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be like the wicked. May that be far from you. Shouldn’t the Judge of all the earth do right?”
