遣其赴百利恆曰：『爾且往究嬰孩虛實、訪得回報、吾亦欲朝拜也。』

He sent them to Bethlehem and said,“ Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him.”

于是，他们密切注意，派了一些奸细装做好人，要抓耶稣的话柄，好把他交在总督的管理和权柄之下。那些奸细问耶稣，说：“老师，我们知道你所说所教导的都是对的，你也不顾人的情面，而是按真理教导神的道。

耶和华破坏列国的谋略，挫败万民的意念。耶和华的谋略确立，直到永远；他心里的意念存到万代。

奸恶在城中，欺压和诡诈不离它的街市。其实不是仇敌辱骂我——如果是，我还可以承受；也不是恨我的人在我面前高抬自己——如果是，我还可以躲藏。但竟然是你，是与我一样的人，是我的同伴、我的知己！我们曾经一起亲密交流，与会众一起走在神的殿中。愿死亡突然毁灭他们，愿他们活活下到阴间！因为恶事在他们的住处，就在他们当中。

人人向邻舍说谎，他们说话油嘴滑舌，心怀二意。愿耶和华剪除一切油滑的嘴唇和说大话的舌头！

那出卖耶稣的人已经和他们定了一个暗号，说：“我如果亲吻谁，谁就是那个人。你们把他抓住。”犹大立刻上前来对耶稣说：“拉比，愿你欢喜！”然后亲吻了他。

怀恨人的，用言语掩饰自己，心里却存着诡诈。他说的再好听，也不要相信他，因为他的心里有七样可憎之事。

因为在神看来，这世界的智慧就是愚拙；原来经上记着：“神使智慧人落入自己的诡计中”；又说：“主知道智慧人的思想是虚妄的。”

任何的智慧、聪慧和谋略，都无法在耶和华面前站立得住。

请你们去再次确认，查看他的落脚之处，有谁在那里看到他，因为有人对我说，他非常狡猾。你们要查清他躲藏的所有地方，确定后回来见我，我就与你们一同去。如果他在那地方，我就把他从犹大的千家万户中搜出来。”
