腓力找到拿但業，告訴他：“摩西在律法書上所寫的，和眾先知所記的那位，我們已經遇見了，他就是約瑟的兒子拿撒勒人耶穌。”拿但業說：“拿撒勒還能出甚麼好的嗎？”腓力說：“你來看！”

他再問他們：“你們找誰？”他們說：“拿撒勒人耶穌！”

他出到門口，又有一個婢女看見他，就對那裡的人說：“這人是和拿撒勒人耶穌一夥的。”

看哪！你必懷孕，生一個兒子；不可用剃刀剃他的頭，這孩子從在母腹開始就歸神作拿細耳人；他必拯救以色列人脫離非利士人的手。”

到了第六個月，天使加百列奉神差遣，往加利利的拿撒勒城去，

他們按著主的律法辦完一切，就回加利利，到自己的城拿撒勒去了。

我們看這個人就像瘟疫一樣，是煽動普天下猶太人生亂的人，又是拿撒勒派的首領。

說：“拿撒勒人耶穌，我們跟你有甚麼關係呢？你來毀滅我們嗎？我知道你是誰，你是神的聖者。”

彼拉多寫了一個牌子，放在十字架上頭，寫的是：“猶太人的王拿撒勒人耶穌。”

誰會相信我們所傳的？耶和華的膀臂向誰顯露呢？他在耶和華面前如嫩芽生長起來，像根出於乾旱之地；他沒有佳形，也沒有威儀，好叫我們仰慕他；他也沒有美貌，使我們被他吸引。

這整件事的發生，是要應驗主藉著先知所說的：

因我為你的殿，心中迫切如同火燒；辱罵你的人的辱罵，都落在我身上。我哭泣禁食，這竟成了我的羞辱。

他們回答：“拿撒勒人耶穌！”耶穌說：“我就是。”出賣耶穌的猶大和他們站在那裡。

“以色列人哪，請聽聽這幾句話：正如你們所知道的，神已經藉著拿撒勒人耶穌在你們中間施行了大能、奇事、神蹟，向你們證明他是神所立的。

我不是帶你們出埃及地，領你們在曠野度過四十年，叫你們得著亞摩利人的地為業嗎？我從你們子孫中興起先知，從年輕人中興起拿細耳人；以色列人哪！這不是事實嗎？’這是耶和華的宣告。‘但你們迫使拿細耳人喝酒，吩咐先知說：不要說預言。

“‘拿細耳人的律例是這樣：離俗的人的日子滿了那天，人要把他帶到會幕的門口；

並且許願，說：“萬軍之耶和華啊，你若是看顧使女的困苦，記念我，不忘記你的使女，賜給使女一個兒子，我就必把他一生獻給耶和華，不剃他的頭。”
