But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee,

You will hear a word spoken behind you, saying,“ This is the correct way, walk in it,” whether you are heading to the right or the left.

Then Jesus came from Galilee to John to be baptized by him in the Jordan River.

When they had brought them outside, they said,“ Run for your lives! Don’t look behind you or stop anywhere in the valley! Escape to the mountains or you will be destroyed!”But Lot said to them,“ No, please, Lord!Your servant has found favor with you, and you have shown me great kindness by sparing my life. But I am not able to escape to the mountains because this disaster will overtake me and I’ll die.Look, this town over here is close enough to escape to, and it’s just a little one. Let me go there. It’s just a little place, isn’t it? Then I’ll survive.”“ Very well,” he replied,“ I will grant this request too and will not overthrow the town you mentioned.

They cried out to the LORD in their distress; he delivered them from their troubles.He led them on a level road, that they might find a city in which to live.

When he had contemplated this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said,“ Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

For God, our God, is our defender forever! He guides us!

After being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they went back by another route to their own country.After they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said,“ Get up, take the child and his mother and flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to look for the child to kill him.”

You guide me by your wise advice, and then you will lead me to a position of honor.

But Ananias replied,“ Lord, I have heard from many people about this man, how much harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem,and here he has authority from the chief priests to imprison all who call on your name!”

They replied,“ You aren’t from Galilee too, are you? Investigate carefully and you will see that no prophet comes from Galilee!”[[

The LORD will protect you in all you do, now and forevermore.

Samuel replied,“ How can I go? Saul will hear about it and kill me!” But the LORD said,“ Take a heifer with you and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the LORD.’

This is what the LORD, your protector, says, the Holy One of Israel:“ I am the LORD your God, who teaches you how to succeed, who leads you in the way you should go.If only you had obeyed my commandments, prosperity would have flowed to you like a river, deliverance would have come to you like the waves of the sea.

After Herod had died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt

Others said,“ This is the Christ!” But still others said,“ No, for the Christ doesn’t come from Galilee, does he?Don’t the scriptures say that the Christ is a descendant of David and comes from Bethlehem, the village where David lived?”
