But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee,

But then he heard that Archelaus was king of Judea. Archelaus was ruling in place of his father Herod. This made Joseph afraid to go there. Joseph had been warned in a dream. So he went back to the land of Galilee instead.

约瑟和马利亚照主的律法办完了一切的事，就回加利利，到自己的城拿撒勒去了。

于是，他们在苦难中哀求耶和华；他从他们的祸患中搭救他们，又领他们行走直路，使他们往可居住的城邑。

正思念这事的时候，有主的使者向他梦中显现，说：“大卫的子孙约瑟，不要怕！只管娶过你的妻子马利亚来，因她所怀的孕是从圣灵来的。

因为这神永永远远为我们的神；他必作我们引路的，直到死时。

博士因为在梦中被主指示不要回去见希律，就从别的路回本地去了。他们去后，有主的使者向约瑟梦中显现，说：“起来！带着小孩子同他母亲逃往埃及，住在那里，等我吩咐你；因为希律必寻找小孩子，要除灭他。”

你要以你的训言引导我，以后必接我到荣耀里。

亚拿尼亚回答说：“主啊，我听见许多人说，这人怎样在耶路撒冷多多苦害你的圣徒，并且他在这里有从祭司长得来的权柄捆绑一切求告你名的人。”

他们回答说：“你也是出于加利利吗？你且去查考，就可知道加利利没有出过先知。”

你出你入，耶和华要保护你，从今时直到永远。

撒母耳说：“我怎能去呢？扫罗若听见，必要杀我。”耶和华说：“你可以带一只牛犊去，就说：‘我来是要向耶和华献祭。’

耶和华你的救赎主，以色列的圣者如此说：“我是耶和华你的神，教训你，使你得益处，引导你所当行的路。甚愿你素来听从我的命令！你的平安就如河水；你的公义就如海浪。

希律死了以后，有主的使者在埃及向约瑟梦中显现，说：

有的说：“这是基督。”但也有的说：“基督岂是从加利利出来的吗？经上岂不是说‘基督是大卫的后裔，从大卫本乡伯利恒出来的’吗？”
