But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee,

But then he heard that Archelaus was king of Judea. Archelaus was ruling in place of his father Herod. This made Joseph afraid to go there. Joseph had been warned in a dream. So he went back to the land of Galilee instead.

約瑟和瑪麗亞按照主的律法辦完了一切事以後，就返回加利利，到自己的城拿撒勒去了。

你或向左或向右，都必聽見後面有聲音說：「這是正路，要行在其中！」

那時，耶穌從加利利來到約旦河，到了約翰那裡，要受他的洗禮。

那兩個人把他們領到外面以後，其中一位說：「逃命吧！不要向後看，也不要在平原的任何一處停留；要逃到山上，免得你被除滅。」羅得對他們說：「我主啊，請不要這樣。看哪，你的僕人在你眼前已經蒙了恩，你向我大施慈愛，使我的性命得以存活。不過，我不能逃到山上；恐怕這災禍追上我，我就死了。看哪，這城足夠近，我能逃到那裡，而且它只是個小地方——它不是一個小地方嗎？請讓我逃到那裡去，使我的性命得以存活。」天使對他說：「看哪，這事我也答應你，不會傾覆你所說的這城。

於是他們在危難中向耶和華呼求，他就解救他們脫離困境；領他們踏上正直的道路，前往可安居的城。

約瑟思考這些事以後，忽然主的一位天使在約瑟夢中顯現，說：「大衛的後裔約瑟，不要怕迎娶瑪麗亞做你的妻子，因為她裡面所懷的是由聖靈而來的。

因為這位神永永遠遠是我們的神，他必引領我們到底。

他們在夢中得了神的指示不要回到希律那裡去，就從另一條路回到自己的家鄉去了。那些博士離開以後，忽然主的一位天使在約瑟夢中顯現，說：「起來，帶著孩子和他的母親逃往埃及，留在那裡，直到我再指示你，因為希律要搜尋這孩子並殺害他。」

你以你的謀略引導我，以後必接我到榮耀裡。

阿納尼亞卻回答：「主啊，我聽許多人說過有關這個人在耶路撒冷對你的聖徒們所做的種種惡事。並且，他得到祭司長們的授權來到這裡，要捆綁所有求告你名的人。」

他們回答說：「你也不會是加利利人吧？你去查一查看，先知是不會從加利利興起的！」

你出你入，耶和華都保守你，從今直到永遠！

撒母耳說：「我怎麼能去呢？掃羅聽到了，就會殺我。」耶和華說：「你可以手裡牽一頭小母牛去，就說：『我是來向耶和華獻祭的。』

你的救贖主，以色列的聖者耶和華如此說：「我是耶和華你的神，我教導你得益處，使你踏上當行的路。但願你一向聽從我的命令，你的平安就會如江河，你的公義就會如海濤，

希律死了以後，在埃及，忽然主的一位天使在約瑟夢中顯現，

另有的說：「這個人就是基督。」還有的卻說：「難道基督會出自加利利嗎？經上不是說，基督是大衛的後裔，是出自大衛的故鄉伯利恆嗎？」
