They asked,“ Where is the child who has been born to be king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose. Now we have come to worship him.”

saying,“ Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”

“ Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.”

saying,“ Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star at its rising and have come to worship him.”

“ Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.”

saying,“ Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”

“ I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob; a scepter will rise out of Israel. He will crush the foreheads of Moab, the skulls of all the people of Sheth.

“ The days are coming,” declares the Lord,“ when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land.

“ I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

“ You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered,“ You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

Then Nathanael declared,“ Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel.”

Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

“ I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.”

And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says,“ Let all God’s angels worship him.”

Meanwhile Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him,“ Are you the king of the Jews?”“ You have said so,” Jesus replied.

When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

Instead, they will serve the Lord their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.

that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.

There was a written notice above him, which read: this is the king of the jews.

“ Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”“ Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

Let the king be enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord.

Pilate had a notice prepared and fastened to the cross. It read: jesus of nazareth, the king of the jews.

See, a king will reign in righteousness and rulers will rule with justice.Each one will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land.

“ Say to Daughter Zion,‘ See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’”

because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heavento shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.”

So Pilate asked Jesus,“ Are you the king of the Jews?”“ You have said so,” Jesus replied.

Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting,“ Hosanna!”“ Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”“ Blessed is the king of Israel!”

From then on, Pilate tried to set Jesus free, but the Jewish leaders kept shouting,“ If you let this man go, you are no friend of Caesar. Anyone who claims to be a king opposes Caesar.”When Pilate heard this, he brought Jesus out and sat down on the judge’s seat at a place known as the Stone Pavement( which in Aramaic is Gabbatha).It was the day of Preparation of the Passover; it was about noon.“ Here is your king,” Pilate said to the Jews.But they shouted,“ Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!”“ Shall I crucify your king?” Pilate asked.“ We have no king but Caesar,” the chief priests answered.

Then the man said,“ Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him.

Thomas said to him,“ My Lord and my God!”
