萬軍之耶和華曰、爾其思之、召哀悼之婦、善哭之女至、使其速為我舉哀、俾我目墮淚、我眼流涕、自錫安聞有號咷之聲、曰、噫、我儕敗矣、慚愧特甚、因離故土、我之第宅為敵所毀、維爾諸婦、當聽耶和華言、耳聆其口所出之詞、其訓爾女號咷、各誨爾鄰哀哭、蓋死亡至於我牖、入於我宮、我子殄於外、少壯滅於衢、

由伯特利而徙、去以法他無幾、拉結臨產甚艱、難產之際、收生者曰、毋懼、爾又得子、拉結臨死、魂將逝時、名其子曰便俄尼而死、惟其父命名便雅憫、拉結既卒、葬於以法他、即伯利恆之途側、雅各立碑於墓、至今猶稱拉結墓碑、

蓋我聞有聲、若臨產之婦、若初產者之痛苦、是乃錫安女之聲、喘息張手曰、禍哉我也、我魂亡於殘殺者之前矣、

其父雅各謂之曰、爾曹喪我子矣、約瑟已亡、西緬亦亡、今欲取便雅憫、此皆有害於我、

返見諸弟曰、孺子不在、我將焉往、

展於我前、內外皆有文字、其所錄者、哀號慘怛禍患、

雅各識之、曰、是吾子之衣也、彼為惡獸所食、約瑟破裂無疑矣、遂裂己衣、腰束以麻、傷悼日久、子女羣來相慰、父不受慰、曰、我必悲哀至於陰府、就子乃已、父之痛子如此、

我又見一鷹飛於天、聞其大聲曰、禍哉、禍哉、禍哉、宅地之人乎、因其餘之三使、將吹號角之聲也、

惟人死而僵、其氣既絕、則安在哉、
