They stayed there until King Herod died. So the words the Lord had spoken through the prophet came true. He had said,“ I brought my son out of Egypt.”( Hosea 11:1)

But when Herod died, behold, an angel of the Lord* appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, and said,

and warned them not to tell who He was.This happened so that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled:“ Behold, My Servant whom I have chosen; My Beloved in whom My soul delights; I will put My Spirit upon Him, And He will proclaim justice to the Gentiles.

and came and settled in a city called Nazareth. This happened so that what was spoken through the prophets would be fulfilled:“ He will be called a Nazarene.”

This happened so that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled:“ The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, By the way of the sea, on the other side of the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles—

Now He said to them,“ These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all the things that are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

“ Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit foretold by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus.

And when they had crucified Him, they divided His garments among themselves by casting lots.

Now about that time Herod the king laid hands on some who belonged to the church, to do them harm.And he had James the brother of John executed with a sword.When he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter as well.( Now these were the days of Unleavened Bread.)When he had arrested him, he put him in prison, turning him over to four squads of soldiers to guard him, intending only after the Passover to bring him before the people.

And immediately an angel of the Lord struck him because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and died.But the word of the Lord continued to grow and to be multiplied.
