where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet:“ Out of Egypt I called my son.”

They stayed there until King Herod died. So the words the Lord had spoken through the prophet came true. He had said,“ I brought my son out of Egypt.”( Hosea 11:1)

這事發生了，是要應驗那藉神言人所說的話，說：

若是這樣，經上所說事情必須如此的話，怎能應驗呢？』

但這全部的事發生了，是要應驗神言人所寫的呀。』那時眾門徒都離開他，逃走了。

但是希律死了以後，忽有主的一個使者在埃及向約瑟夢中顯現說：

又警告他們不要將他顯揚出去。這是要應驗那藉神言人以賽亞所說的話，說：『看哪，我的僕人，我所揀選，我所愛，我心所喜悅的。我要將我的靈放在他身上；他必將正義傳報給外國人。

到了一座城叫拿撒勒住下。這是要應驗那藉神言人所說的話、說：『他必稱為拿撒勒人。』

這是要應驗那藉神言人以賽亞所說的話、說：『西布倫地和拿弗他利地、沿海的道路、約但河外、外國人的加利利——

耶穌又對他們說：『我這些話、我從前還和你們同在時所對你們講的話、就是：凡摩西《律法書》和《神言人的書》跟《詩篇》上所記的關於我的話、都必須得應驗。』

『同人弟兄們，聖靈藉着大衛的口豫先說到猶大的那一段經、必須得應驗。這猶大是捉拿耶穌的人的領路者；

他們既把他釘了十字架，就拈鬮分他的衣裳；

約當那時、希律王下手苦害屬教會的幾個人。用刀殺掉了約翰的哥哥雅各。他見這事叫猶太人喜歡，便加作了一件：連彼得也捉拿了。那時候是除酵的日子。既將彼得逮住了，便放在監裏，交給每組四人的四組兵看守，有意思要在逾越節後把他提上來在民眾面前辦他。

主的使者立時擊打希律，因為他不將榮耀歸與上帝，他被蟲子咬，就氣絕了。但是上帝之道卻一直興旺，日益廣傳。
