这一切应验了主借着先知所说的话：

后来，耶稣知道一切的事已经完成，就说：“我渴了。”这是要应验圣经上的话。

这些事的发生是为了应验圣经上的话：“祂的骨头一根也不会折断”；

这是要应验以赛亚先知的话：“祂担当了我们的软弱，背负了我们的疾病。”

这正应验了耶利米先知的话：

这件事是要应验先知的话：

我若这样做，圣经上有关这事必如此发生的话又怎能应验呢？”

不过这一切事的发生，是要应验先知书上的话。”那时，门徒都丢下祂逃走了。

希律死后，主的天使在梦中向在埃及的约瑟显现，说：

吩咐他们不要泄露祂的身份。这是要应验以赛亚先知的话：“看啊！我所拣选、所眷爱、所喜悦的仆人，我要将我的灵赐给祂，祂要向万邦宣扬正义。

定居在拿撒勒镇。这应验了先知的话：“祂将被称为拿撒勒人。”

这就应验了以赛亚先知的话：“西布伦、拿弗他利、沿海一带及约旦河东、外族人居住的加利利啊！

耶稣对他们说：“我跟你们在一起的时候曾经说过，摩西的律法书、先知的书以及诗篇里有关我的记载都要应验。”

“弟兄们，关于带人抓耶稣的犹大，圣灵借着大卫的口早已预言，这经文必须要应验。

他们把耶稣钉在十字架上，还抽签分了祂的衣服，

那时，希律王下手残害教会的一些人，杀了约翰的哥哥雅各。他见这样做能取悦犹太人，便又在除酵节期间拘捕了彼得，把他关在监里，由四班卫兵，每班四人轮流看守，想等逾越节过后当众惩办他。

希律没有把荣耀归给上帝，主的天使立刻惩罚他，他当场被虫子咬死了。上帝的道日见兴旺，越传越广。
