耶穌對他們說：『我實在告訴你們，人為了上帝的國撇下了房屋、或妻子、或弟兄、或父母、或兒女、沒有不在現今這時期得到許多倍、而在來世得永生的。』

不但如此，為了要得認識我主基督耶穌——這種認識之至寶，我竟將萬事都看做虧損了；為了他，我已經虧損了一切，看做糞土，為要贏得基督，

耶穌說：『我實在告訴你們，人為了我、並為了福音、撇下了房屋、或弟兄、或姐妹、或母親或父親、或兒女、或田地，沒有不在現今這時期得百倍的：房屋、弟兄、姐妹、母親、兒女、和田地、附帶着受逼迫，又在來世得永生的。

『人來找我，除非少愛自己的父親、母親、妻子、弟兄、姐妹、甚至於自己的性命、就不能做我的門徒。

因為凡想要救自己性命的，必失掉真性命；凡為我失掉自己性命的，必得着真性命。

愛父親或母親過於愛我的，配不起我；愛兒子或女兒過於愛我的，配不起我；不拿着自己的十字架來跟從我的，也配不起我。

你們若在基督名內受辱罵，是有福的；因為「榮耀」之靈、就是上帝之靈、住在你們身上。

但是你們要先尋求他的國和他的義，這一切就都附加給你們了。

你們必為我的名被眾人恨惡；惟獨堅忍到末終的，才能得救。

你們若屬於世界，世界就必愛屬自己的；只因你們不屬於世界，乃是我揀選了你們出世界，故此世界恨你們。

人恨惡你們，隔絕你們，辱罵並革除你們的名、認為是惡，為了人子的緣故、你們是有福的。

門徒中另有一個人對耶穌說：『主啊，准我先去埋葬我的父親。』耶穌對他說：『你跟從我；任憑那些死人去埋葬他們的死人！』

人辱罵你們，逼迫你們，憑空虛造說出各樣壞話毁謗你們；為了我的緣故、你們是有福的。

那時王必對那在右邊的說：「蒙我父祝福的啊，來承受世界之創立以來給你們豫備的國吧。

他為我的名必須受多麼大的苦，我必指示他。』

不，這乃是像經上所記：『上帝給愛他的人所豫備的、是眼睛沒有看見過、耳朵沒有聽見過、人心沒有思想過的。』

有一個人上耶穌跟前來，說：『先生，我該行甚麼善事，才可以得永生啊？』

但那撒在好土上的，是人聽了道就領悟；他總是結實：有的結了一百倍，有的六十倍，有的三十倍。』

另有的落在好土上，結着果實，有的一百倍，有的六十倍，有的三十倍。

所以我們從今以後不再按人的肉體認識人了；縱使曾按其肉體認識基督，如今卻不再這樣認識他了。

這些人必往永世的刑罰裏去；那些義人呢、必往永世的生命裏去。」』
