耶穌說：“我實在告訴你們，人為神的國撇下房屋、妻子、弟兄、父母或兒女，沒有不在今世得許多倍，來世得永生的。”

不但這樣，我也把萬事當作是有損的，因為我以認識我主基督耶穌為至寶。為了他，我把萬事都拋棄了，看作廢物，為了要得著基督。

耶穌說：“我實在告訴你們，人為著我和福音捨棄了房屋、弟兄、姊妹、母親、父親、兒女、田地，沒有不在今生得百倍─就是房屋、弟兄、姊妹、母親、兒女、田地，同時要受迫害─在來世還要得永生。

“如果有人到我這裡來，愛我不超過愛（“愛我不超過愛”原文作“不恨”）自己的父母、妻子、兒女、兄弟、姊妹，甚至自己的性命，就不能作我的門徒。

凡是想救自己生命的，必喪掉生命；但為我犧牲生命的，必得著生命。

愛父母過於愛我的，不配作屬我的；愛兒女過於愛我的，不配作屬我的；凡不背起自己的十字架來跟從我的，也不配作屬我的。

你們要是為基督的名受辱罵，就有福了！因為神榮耀的靈，住在你們身上。

你們要先求他的國和他的義，這一切都必加給你們。

你們為我的名，要被眾人恨惡，然而堅忍到底的必然得救。

你們若屬於這世界，世人必定愛屬自己的；但因為你們不屬於世界，而是我從世界中揀選了你們，所以世人就恨你們。

世人為人子的緣故憎恨你們、排斥你們、辱罵你們，棄絕你們的名好像棄絕惡物，你們就有福了。

另一個門徒對他說：“主啊！請准我先回去安葬我的父親吧。”耶穌對他說：“跟從我吧！讓死人去埋葬他們的死人。”

人若因我的緣故辱罵你們，迫害你們，並且捏造各樣壞話毀謗你們，你們就有福了。

那時，王要對右邊的說：‘蒙我父賜福的，來承受創世以來為你們預備好的國吧。

我要指示他，為了我的名他必須受許多的苦。”

正如經上所記：“神為愛他的人所預備的，是眼睛未曾見過，耳朵未曾聽過，人心也未曾想到的。”

有一個人前來見耶穌，說：“老師，我要作甚麼善事，才可以得著永生？”

那撒在好土裡的，就是人聽了道，又明白了，結出果實來，有一百倍的，有六十倍的，有三十倍的。”

有的落在好土裡，結出果實，有一百倍的，有六十倍的，有三十倍的。

所以，從今以後，我們不再按照人的看法認識人；雖然我們曾經按照人的看法認識基督，但現在不再這樣了。

他們要進入永遠的刑罰，義人卻要進入永生。”
