The disciples were greatly astonished when they heard this and said,“ Then who can be saved?”

So in the same way at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace.And if it is by grace, it is no longer by works, otherwise grace would no longer be grace.What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was diligently seeking, but the elect obtained it. The rest were hardened,

And if those days had not been cut short, no one would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.

For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

And if the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would be saved. But because of the elect, whom he chose, he has cut them short.

Someone asked him,“ Lord, will only a few be saved?” So he said to them,“ Exert every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.
