“ Which ones?” he asked Him. Jesus answered: Do not murder; do not commit adultery; do not steal; do not bear false witness;

凡是本於律法上行為的人，都在詛咒之下，因為經上記著：「任何人不持守、不遵行律法書上所記載的一切，都是被詛咒的。」

因為那遵守整個律法的人，只在一條上跌倒，就成了干犯所有律法的了。原來那位說過「不可通姦」的，也說過「不可殺人」。你即使不通姦，卻殺人，你還是成了違犯律法的人。

你是知道這些誡命的：『不可殺人、不可通姦、不可偷竊、不可做偽證、不可虧負人、要孝敬父母。』」

你們對任何人都不要虧欠什麼；唯有在彼此相愛的事上，要常以為虧欠。實際上，愛別人的，就成全了律法。這是因為，那「不可通姦，不可殺人，不可偷竊，不可貪心」的誡命，或是別的什麼誡命，都包含在「要愛鄰如己」這一句話裡了。愛是對鄰人不做惡事，因此愛是成全律法的。

「你們聽過那吩咐古人的話：『不可殺人。殺人的，當遭受審判。』但是我告訴你們：所有向他弟兄發怒的，當遭受審判；罵他弟兄『廢物』的，當遭受議會的審判；罵『蠢貨』的，當遭受烈火的地獄。所以，如果你在祭壇獻上祭物的時候，在那裡想起弟兄向你懷著怨，就要把祭物留在祭壇前，先去與弟兄和好，然後再回來獻上你的祭物。你要趁著與你的對頭還在路上的時候，趕快與他和解，免得他把你交給審判官，審判官把你交給差役，你就會被投進監獄了。我確實地告訴你：除非你還清了最後的一個銅幣，否則你絕不能從那裡出來。「你們聽過那吩咐：『不可通姦。』但是我告訴你們：所有懷著慾念看女人的，就已經在心裡和她通姦了。

你是知道這些誡命的：『不可通姦、不可殺人、不可偷竊、不可做偽證、要孝敬父母。』」
