Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked,“ Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?”

Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him,“ Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?”So Jesus said to him,“ Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.You know the commandments:‘ Do not commit adultery,’‘ Do not murder,’‘ Do not steal,’‘ Do not bear false witness,’‘ Do not defraud,’‘ Honor your father and your mother.’”And he answered and said to Him,“ Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth.”Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him,“ One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples,“ How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!”And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them,“ Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God!It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”And they were greatly astonished, saying among themselves,“ Who then can be saved?”But Jesus looked at them and said,“ With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”Then Peter began to say to Him,“ See, we have left all and followed You.”So Jesus answered and said,“ Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s,who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time— houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions— and in the age to come, eternal life.

that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us—

keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

But Simon Peter answered Him,“ Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”Then they said to Him,“ What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?”Jesus answered and said to them,“ This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

But Jesus looked at them and said to them,“ With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying,“ Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”He said to him,“ What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?”So he answered and said,“‘ You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and‘ your neighbor as yourself.’”And He said to him,“ You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.”

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.

And he brought them out and said,“ Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.

And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Now a certain ruler asked Him, saying,“ Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”So Jesus said to him,“ Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.You know the commandments:‘ Do not commit adultery,’‘ Do not murder,’‘ Do not steal,’‘ Do not bear false witness,’‘ Honor your father and your mother.’”And he said,“ All these things I have kept from my youth.”So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him,“ You still lack one thing. but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.

as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him.And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began,

eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;
