说：“我实在告诉你们，你们若不回转，变成像小孩子一样，绝不能进天国。

耶稣却叫他们来，说：“让小孩子到我这里来，不要阻止他们，因为在上帝国的正是这样的人。我实在告诉你们，凡要接受上帝国的，若不像小孩子，绝不能进去。”

弟兄们，在心志上不要作小孩子。但是，在恶事上要作婴孩，而在心志上总要作大人。

所以，你们要除去一切的恶毒，一切诡诈、假善、嫉妒，和一切毁谤的话。要爱慕那纯净的灵奶，像初生的婴孩爱慕奶一样，好使你们藉着它成长，以致得救，

以撒出生后第八日，亚伯拉罕遵照上帝所吩咐的，为以撒行割礼。

那时，耶稣说：“父啊，天地的主，我感谢你！因为你把这些事向聪明智慧的人隐藏起来，而向婴孩启示出来。

断奶之后，她就带着孩子，连同一头三岁的公牛，一伊法细面，一皮袋酒，上示罗耶和华的殿去。那时，孩子还小。

她许愿说：“万军之耶和华啊，你若垂顾你使女的苦情，眷念不忘你的使女，赐你的使女一个子嗣，我必使他终生归给耶和华，不用剃刀剃他的头。”

我要与你，以及你世世代代的后裔坚立我的约，成为永远的约，是要作你和你后裔的上帝。我要把你现在寄居的地，就是迦南全地，赐给你和你的后裔永远为业；我也必作他们的上帝。”

哈拿却没有上去，因为她对丈夫说：“等孩子断了奶，我就带他上去朝见耶和华，让他永远住在那里。”

他对我说：‘看哪，你要怀孕，生一个儿子。现在，清酒烈酒都不可喝，任何不洁之物都不可吃，因为这孩子从出母胎一直到死的那一天，要归给上帝作拿细耳人。’”

耶稣看见就很生气，对门徒说：“让小孩到我这里来，不要阻止他们，因为在上帝国的正是这样的人。

那时，撒母耳还是孩子，穿着细麻布的以弗得，侍立在耶和华面前。

亚伯拉罕受割礼时，年九十九岁。他儿子以实玛利受割礼时，年十三岁。在那一天，亚伯拉罕和他儿子以实玛利一同受了割礼。
