Jesus said,“ Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

“我實在告訴你們，如果你們不回轉，變成像小孩子一樣，一定不能進天國。

耶穌卻叫他們過來，說：“讓小孩子到我這裡來，不要禁止他們，因為神的國正屬於這樣的人。我實在告訴你們，凡不像小孩子一樣接受神的國的，決不能進去。”

弟兄們，你們在思想上不要作小孩子，卻要在惡事上作嬰孩，在思想上作成年人。

所以要除去一切惡毒、一切詭詐、虛偽、嫉妒和一切毀謗的話，像初生嬰孩愛慕那純淨的靈奶，好叫你們靠它長大，進入救恩；

亞伯拉罕的兒子以撒生下來第八天，亞伯拉罕就照著神吩咐他的，給以撒行了割禮。

就在那時候，耶穌說：“父啊，天地的主，我讚美你，因為你把這些事向智慧和聰明的人隱藏起來，卻向嬰孩顯明。

她給孩子斷了奶之後，就帶他一同上去，又帶了一頭三歲的公牛（按照《馬索拉文本》，“一頭三歲的公牛”應作“三頭公牛”；現參照《七十士譯本》翻譯）、十公斤麵和一皮袋酒。她把孩子帶到示羅耶和華的殿那裡；那時孩子還很小。

並且許願，說：“萬軍之耶和華啊，你若是看顧使女的困苦，記念我，不忘記你的使女，賜給使女一個兒子，我就必把他一生獻給耶和華，不剃他的頭。”

我要與你，和你世世代代的後裔，堅立我的約，成為永遠的約，使我作你和你的後裔的神。我要把你現在寄居的地，就是迦南全地，賜給你和你的後裔，作永遠的產業，我也要作他們的神。”

哈拿卻沒有上去，因為她對丈夫說：“等孩子斷了奶，我才帶他去朝見耶和華。他要永遠住在那裡。”

他對我說：‘你必要懷孕，生一個兒子；現在清酒或烈酒你都不可喝，各樣不潔的東西你也不可吃，因為這孩子從在母腹開始，一直到死，都必歸耶和華作拿細耳人。’”

耶穌看見了就生氣，對門徒說：“讓小孩子到我這裡來，不要禁止他們，因為神的國是屬於這樣的人的。

那時，撒母耳還是個孩童，束著細麻布的以弗得，在耶和華面前事奉。

亞伯拉罕九十九歲的時候，割去了他身上的包皮。他的兒子以實瑪利十三歲的時候，割去了他身上的包皮。就在那一天，亞伯拉罕和他的兒子以實瑪利，都受了割禮。
