“我实在告诉你们，如果你们不回转，变成像小孩子一样，一定不能进天国。

耶稣却叫他们过来，说：“让小孩子到我这里来，不要禁止他们，因为神的国正属于这样的人。我实在告诉你们，凡不像小孩子一样接受神的国的，决不能进去。”

弟兄们，你们在思想上不要作小孩子，却要在恶事上作婴孩，在思想上作成年人。

所以要除去一切恶毒、一切诡诈、虚伪、嫉妒和一切毁谤的话，像初生婴孩爱慕那纯净的灵奶，好叫你们靠它长大，进入救恩；

亚伯拉罕的儿子以撒生下来第八天，亚伯拉罕就照着神吩咐他的，给以撒行了割礼。

就在那时候，耶稣说：“父啊，天地的主，我赞美你，因为你把这些事向智慧和聪明的人隐藏起来，却向婴孩显明。

她给孩子断了奶之后，就带他一同上去，又带了一头三岁的公牛（按照《马索拉文本》，“一头三岁的公牛”应作“三头公牛”；现参照《七十士译本》翻译）、十公斤面和一皮袋酒。她把孩子带到示罗耶和华的殿那里；那时孩子还很小。

并且许愿，说：“万军之耶和华啊，你若是看顾使女的困苦，记念我，不忘记你的使女，赐给使女一个儿子，我就必把他一生献给耶和华，不剃他的头。”

我要与你，和你世世代代的后裔，坚立我的约，成为永远的约，使我作你和你的后裔的神。我要把你现在寄居的地，就是迦南全地，赐给你和你的后裔，作永远的产业，我也要作他们的神。”

哈拿却没有上去，因为她对丈夫说：“等孩子断了奶，我才带他去朝见耶和华。他要永远住在那里。”

他对我说：‘你必要怀孕，生一个儿子；现在清酒或烈酒你都不可喝，各样不洁的东西你也不可吃，因为这孩子从在母腹开始，一直到死，都必归耶和华作拿细耳人。’”

耶稣看见了就生气，对门徒说：“让小孩子到我这里来，不要禁止他们，因为神的国是属于这样的人的。

那时，撒母耳还是个孩童，束着细麻布的以弗得，在耶和华面前事奉。

亚伯拉罕九十九岁的时候，割去了他身上的包皮。他的儿子以实玛利十三岁的时候，割去了他身上的包皮。就在那一天，亚伯拉罕和他的儿子以实玛利，都受了割礼。
