彼得援而止之曰、主、不可、願勿有此、

約翰曰、夫子、我儕見一人、以爾名逐鬼、禁之、為其不從我也、耶穌曰、勿禁之、凡不攻我者、則向我、○

眾責之、使緘默、瞽者愈呼曰、主、大闢之裔、矜恤我也、

耶和華必使爾繁衍、爰及子孫兮。耶和華造天地、加爾以純嘏兮、

我必使之道同志合、共寅畏予、以徼福禧、奚及子孫、

門徒雅各約翰見此、曰、主、欲我招火、由天降而滅之、如昔以利亞所行乎、耶穌顧而責之曰、爾誠何心、不自知耶、

約瑟曰、蒙上帝於斯土、賜我二子。曰、可攜之前、我為祝嘏。以色列年邁、目眯不明、約瑟攜子於前、以色列吻而抱之、謂約瑟曰、吾不意覿爾面、上帝復使睹爾子。約瑟令二子暫離膝前、而自拜伏於地。後攜二子、右執以法蓮、向以色列左、左執馬拿西、向以色列右、如是而前。以色列以右手按季子以法蓮首、左手按長子馬拿西首、非出無意。為約瑟二子祝嘏、曰、昔我祖父亞伯拉罕以撒所崇事之上帝、我生及今牧我之上帝、拯我出患難之天使、願錫嘏童蒙、當為吾子、為吾祖父亞伯拉罕以撒子孫、使昌熾於地。○約瑟見父以右手按以法蓮首、意有不悅、乃舉父手、欲自以法蓮首、移於馬拿西首、曰、吾父不可、此乃長子、請按右手於其首。父不許、曰、吾子、我知之矣。此子亦將昌大、為一族之祖、惟季必超越於長、其裔必為群族祖。是日以色列為二子祝嘏、曰、斯後以色列族將為人祝曰、願上帝使爾福祉、若以法蓮、馬拿西然。於是立以法蓮於馬拿西之先。○

蓋不信主之夫、以信主之婦聖、不信主之婦、以信主之夫聖、不然、生子不潔、今俱聖矣、
