The disciples said to him,“ If this is the situation between a husband and wife, it is better not to marry.”

The disciples say unto him, If the case of the man is so with his wife, it is not expedient to marry.

His disciples said to him,“ If this is the case of the man with his wife, it is not expedient to marry.”

To the unmarried and widows I say that it is best for them to remain as I am.

Because of the impending crisis I think it best for you to remain as you are.The one bound to a wife should not seek divorce. The one released from a wife should not seek marriage.But if you marry, you have not sinned. And if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. But those who marry will face difficult circumstances, and I am trying to spare you such problems.

They will prohibit marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

The one who finds a wife finds what is enjoyable, and receives a pleasurable gift from the LORD.

Now with regard to the issues you wrote about:“ It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.”But because of immoralities, each man should have relations with his own wife and each woman with her own husband.

It is better to live on a corner of the housetop than in a house in company with a quarrelsome wife.

It is better to live in a desert land than with a quarrelsome and easily-provoked woman.

But do not accept younger widows on the list, because their passions may lead them away from Christ and they will desire to marry,and so incur judgment for breaking their former pledge.And besides that, going around from house to house they learn to be lazy, and they are not only lazy, but also gossips and busybodies, talking about things they should not.So I want younger women to marry, raise children, and manage a household, in order to give the adversary no opportunity to vilify us.For some have already wandered away to follow Satan.

Drink water from your own cistern and running water from your own well.Should your springs be dispersed outside, your streams of water in the wide plazas?Let them be for yourself alone, and not for strangers with you.May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in your young wife–a loving doe, a graceful deer; may her breasts satisfy you at all times, may you be captivated by her love always.

A foolish child is the ruin of his father, and a contentious wife is like a constant dripping.A house and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from the LORD.

A wife is bound as long as her husband is living. But if her husband dies, she is free to marry anyone she wishes( only someone in the Lord).But in my opinion, she will be happier if she remains as she is– and I think that I too have the Spirit of God!

And I want you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord.But a married man is concerned about t he things of the world, how to please his wife,and he is divided. An unmarried woman or a virgin is concerned about the things of the Lord, to be holy both in body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the things of the world, how to please her husband.I am saying this for your benefit, not to place a limitation on you, but so that without distraction you may give notable and constant service to the Lord.

The LORD God said,“ It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a companion for him who corresponds to him.”
