耶穌說：“為甚麼問我關於善的事呢？只有一位是善的。如果你想進入永生，就應當遵守誡命。”

所以，我們要竭力進入那安息，免得有人隨著那不順從的樣子就跌倒了。

人若賺得全世界，卻賠上自己的生命，有甚麼好處呢？人還能用甚麼換回自己的生命呢？

所有不潔淨的、行可憎的和說謊的，決不可以進入這城。只有名字記在羊羔生命冊上的才可以進去。

堅固門徒的心，勸他們恆守所信的道，又說：“我們進入神的國，必須經歷許多苦難。”

凡是想救自己生命的，必喪掉生命；但為我犧牲自己生命的，必救了生命。人若賺得全世界，卻喪失自己，或賠上自己，有甚麼好處呢？

耶穌對門徒說：“我實在告訴你們，有錢的人是很難進天國的。我又告訴你們，駱駝穿過針眼，比有錢的人進神的國還容易呢！”
