倘爾一手一足陷爾於罪、則斷而去之、寧跛與殘缺入於生、勿兩手兩足投永火、

倘爾一手一足使爾陷於罪、則斷而棄之、爾跛與殘入於生、勝如有兩手兩足而投於永火、

倘爾一手一足、引爾於惡、當斫而棄之；與其手足雙全而委於無盡之火、曷若殘跛而入永生之為愈乎？

If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire.

It would be better to enter the kingdom of heaven with only one foot than go into hell with two feet. In hell the fire burns forever.

不但如此，為了要得認識我主基督耶穌——這種認識之至寶，我竟將萬事都看做虧損了；為了他，我已經虧損了一切，看做糞土，為要贏得基督，而常在他裏面；不是有我自己的義、那以律法為本的義，乃是有那憑着信基督的義、那由上帝而來、以信為條件的義；

耶穌聽見了，就對他說，『你還缺了一件：要變賣你一切所有的，以分給窮人，你就有財寶在天上；你來吧，來跟從我。』他聽見這些話，就很憂困；因為他是極有錢的。

就必須喝上帝震怒的酒，那在他義怒杯中調好了而不參雜的。那人必須在聖天使們面前和羔羊面前、在火跟硫磺之中受苦痛。

若有人在生命冊上沒被記名的、就被丟在火湖裏。

這些人必往永世的刑罰裏去；那些義人呢、必往永世的生命裏去。」』

所以這樣：你們各人、凡不跟自己的一切資財訣絕的，都不能做我的門徒。

那時王也必對那在左邊的說：「被咒詛的人哪，離開我，去進入那給魔鬼和他的使者所豫備的永世之火裏去。

『你的同母弟兄、或是你的兒子或女兒、或是你懷中的妻子，或是如同你性命的朋友，若暗中教唆你、說：「我們去事奉別的神吧」；這些神是你和你列祖素來所不認識的，是你們四圍別族之民的神。無論是離你近，或是離你遠的神、是從地這邊到地那邊的神。你都不可依順他，不可聽從他；你的眼不可顧惜他；你不要可憐他，不可藏匿他；

他就呼喊說：「我祖亞伯拉罕哪，憐恤我吧！打發拉撒路用指頭尖兒蘸水涼涼我的舌頭吧；因為我在這火焰中、極其慘苦啊。」

錫安中的罪人都恐懼；不拜上帝的人被震顫抓住了，說：『我們中間誰能和吞滅的火同住呢？我們中間誰能和永遠的燃燒物同居呢？』

惟獨那些膽怯的、沒有信心的、可憎的、殺人的、做男倡或嫖妓的、行邪術的、拜偶像的、和一切說假話的人，他們的分兒是在那有火跟硫磺燒着的湖裏：就是第二次的死。』

你那包銀的雕像和鍍金的鑄像、你們都要作為俗用，都要撒掉，如同月經布；對它說：『去吧！』

黑夜已深，白晝已近；所以我們要脫去黑暗之行為，穿上亮光之軍裝。

當那日子、人必將他們為自己所造去敬拜的銀偶相金偶相拋給挖窩的田鼠和蝙蝠，以便永恆主起來使地戰抖時人好進巖隙，入巖罅，去躲避永恆主之可畏懼、和他威嚴之榮光。

原來希律、為了他兄弟腓力的妻子希羅底的緣故、曾把約翰抓住，給捆綁了，下在監裏；因為約翰屢次對他說：『你娶了這婦人是不合法的。』

你們將所犯得罪了我的一切罪過盡行拋棄吧！為自己作成個新的心新的靈吧！何必死亡呢，以色列家啊？

將責罰加給不認識上帝的、和不聽從我們主耶穌福音的人。這兩種人當主來的時候必擔受刑罰、永世的死滅、跟主的面和他有力量的榮耀分離。當那日子他必在聖徒身上得榮耀，也必在一切信眾身上被讚為希奇；因為我們對你們所作的見證、真地已蒙你們相信了。

『人來找我，除非少愛自己的父親、母親、妻子、弟兄、姐妹、甚至於自己的性命、就不能做我的門徒。凡不背着自己的十字架來跟着我的，不能做我的門徒。

有一大羣人上他跟前來，帶着瘸子、殘廢的、瞎子、啞巴、和許多別的病人，都丟在他腳旁；他治好了他們；以致那羣人看見了啞巴能說話，殘廢的康健，瘸子能走路，瞎子能看見，都希奇，將榮耀歸與以色列的上帝。

倘若你的一隻手使你絆跌，把它砍掉吧。你殘廢了進入生命，比有兩隻手而往地獄裏，入那不滅的火裏倒好呢。
