倘爾一手一足陷爾、則斫而棄之、寧殘與跛入於生、勝於二手二足委永火、

倘爾一手一足陷爾於罪、則斷而去之、寧跛與殘缺入於生、勿兩手兩足投永火、

倘爾一手一足使爾陷於罪、則斷而棄之、爾跛與殘入於生、勝如有兩手兩足而投於永火、

倘爾一手一足、引爾於惡、當斫而棄之；與其手足雙全而委於無盡之火、曷若殘跛而入永生之為愈乎？

If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire.

不但如此，我看万事都毫无价值，因为认识我主基督耶稣最宝贵。我为祂失去了一切，我把失去的一切视为垃圾，好得到基督，与祂联合。我成为义人不是因为遵行律法，而是因为信靠基督。这义从上帝而来，以信为基础。

耶稣听了就对他说：“你还有一件事没有做，就是变卖你所有的产业，分给穷人，你必有财宝存在天上，然后你还要来跟从我。”那人听了，极其忧愁，因为他非常富有。

都要喝上帝震怒的烈酒，就是祂怒杯里毫无掺杂的烈酒。他们要在圣天使和羔羊面前，在火和硫磺中受煎熬。

名字没有记在生命册上的都要被扔进火湖里。

这些人要受永远的刑罚，但义人要得到永远的生命。”

“同样，你们若不撇下一切，就不能做我的门徒。

“王又对左边的人说，‘你们这些被咒诅的人，走开！到专为魔鬼及其使者预备的永远不灭的火里去吧！

“如果你们的兄弟、儿女、爱妻或挚友引诱你们去拜你们和你们祖先都不认识的神明，引诱你们去拜你们周围各族的神明，或在附近或远在天边，你们不可迁就、听从他们，不可怜惜他们，不可放过或包庇他们。

就喊着说，‘我的先祖亚伯拉罕啊！求你可怜我，派拉撒路用指尖蘸点水来润润我的舌头吧！我在这火中实在痛苦不堪。’

锡安的罪人恐惧，不敬虔的人颤抖。他们说：“我们谁能住在烈火中呢？谁能住在永不止息的火焰里呢？”

至于那些胆怯的、不信的、行为可憎的、杀人的、淫乱的、行邪术的、拜偶像的和所有说谎的，他们的结局是被丢进硫磺火湖里，这就是第二次的死。”

你们必抛弃自己那些镀金包银的偶像，把它们当作污秽之物丢掉，对它们说：“去吧！”

黑夜已深，天将破晓，我们要除掉黑暗的行为，穿上光明的盔甲。

到那日，众人必把造来敬拜的金银偶像丢给田鼠和蝙蝠。耶和华使大地震动的时候，众人必躲进山洞和岩缝，逃避祂的愤怒和威荣。

原来希律为他兄弟腓力的妻子希罗底的缘故，拘捕了约翰，把他捆绑起来关在监里。因为约翰曾多次对他说：“你娶这个妇人是不对的。”

你们要离弃从前所有的罪恶，洗心革面。以色列人啊！你们何必走向灭亡呢？’

惩罚那些不认识上帝、不听从有关我们主耶稣之福音的人。那些人要受的刑罚就是离开主的面和祂荣耀的权能，永远灭亡。

“若有人要跟从我，就要爱我胜过爱他的父母、妻子、儿女、弟兄、姊妹，甚至自己的生命，否则就不能做我的门徒。若不背起自己的十字架跟从我，就不能做我的门徒。

大群的人把瘸子、瞎子、残疾的、哑巴及许多别的病人带来，放在祂脚前，祂就治好了他们。大家看见哑巴说话，残疾的复原，瘸子走路，瞎子看见，都很惊奇，就赞美以色列的上帝。

如果你一只手使你犯罪，就砍掉它！
