One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could lay his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him.But Jesus said,“ Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”

“ Now, O Lord my God, you have made me king instead of my father, David, but I am like a little child who doesn’t know his way around.

The Lord replied,“ Don’t say,‘ I’m too young,’ for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you.

Then he put a little child among them. Taking the child in his arms, he said to them,“ Anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes not only me but also my Father who sent me.”
