「人無論犯甚麼罪，作甚麼惡，不可單憑一個人的見證，總要憑兩個證人的口或三個證人的口才可定案。

這是我第三次要到你們那裏去。「任何指控都要憑兩個或三個證人的口述才能成立。」

有控告長老的案件，非有兩三個證人就不要受理。

任何人干犯摩西的律法，憑兩個或三個證人，尚且必須處死，不得寬赦，

你們的律法也記着說：『兩個人的見證才算為真』。

「無論誰殺了人，必須憑幾個證人的口，才可把那故意殺人的處死；只憑一個證人，不足以判人死。

要憑兩個證人或三個證人的口，才可以把他處死，不可只憑一個證人的口處死他。

有兩個無賴來，坐在拿伯對面。無賴當着百姓作證告他說：「拿伯詛咒神和王了！」眾人就把他拉到城外，用石頭打他，他就死了。

作見證的有三：就是聖靈、水與血，這三樣也都是一致的。

「我要賜權柄給我那兩個見證人，穿着粗麻衣說預言一千二百六十天。」
