But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that‘ every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’

“如果人犯了什么罪或有什么过失，不可凭一个证人作证就定罪，要有两三个证人才可以定案。

这是我第三次要去你们那里。圣经上说：“任何控告必须有两三个证人作证才能成立。”

若有人向你控告长老，必须有两三个证人，否则不要受理。

人违犯摩西的律法，经两三个人指证后，尚且被毫不留情地处死，

你们的律法不是说两个人做见证就有效吗？

“‘倘若有人被控谋杀，必须有几个人作证才可以处死他，不可凭一个人的证词处死他。

但你们不可单凭一个证人便处死那人，要有两三个证人方可处死他。

又叫两名无赖当众作证指控拿伯咒诅上帝和君王。然后众人把拿伯拖出城外，用石头打死了他。

这样，做见证的共有三样：圣灵、水和血。这三者是一致的。

我要赐权柄给我的两个见证人，他们将身穿麻衣，传道一千二百六十天。”
