Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

兄弟有過、宜伺其獨處而勸之。彼若聽爾、是全爾兄弟也。

“ If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over.

“ If your brother or sister sins against you, go to them. Tell them what they did wrong. Keep it between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them back.

“ If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.

“ If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back.

“ If your brother sins against you, go tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have won your brother.

“ Now if your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have gained your brother.

Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also[ do] ye.

Yet count[ him] not as an enemy, but admonish[ him] as a brother.

Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Let the righteous smite me;[ it shall be] a kindness: and let him reprove me;[ it shall be] an excellent oil,[ which] shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also[ shall be] in their calamities.

The fruit of the righteous[ is] a tree of life; and he that winneth souls[ is] wise.

Debate thy cause with thy neighbour[ himself]; and discover not a secret to another:Lest he that heareth[ it] put thee to shame, and thine infamy turn not away.

But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather[ suffer yourselves to] be defrauded?Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that[ your] brethren.

Likewise, ye wives,[ be] in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;

But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the LORD, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived his neighbour;Or have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein:Then it shall be, because he hath sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found,Or all that about which he hath sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in the principal, and shall add the fifth part more thereto,[ and] give it unto him to whom it appertaineth, in the day of his trespass offering.And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest:And the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD: and it shall be forgiven him for any thing of all that he hath done in trespassing therein.

Wherefore, though I wrote unto you,[ I did it] not for his cause that had done the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear unto you.

For though I be free from all[ men], yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;To them that are without law, as without law,( being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.

That no[ man] go beyond and defraud his brother in[ any] matter: because that the Lord[ is] the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
