As a shepherd cares for his flock on a day when he is among his scattered sheep, so I will care for My sheep and will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and gloomy day.

They will no longer be plunder to the nations, and the animals of the earth will not devour them; but they will live securely, and no one will make them afraid.

My flock strayed through all the mountains and on every high hill; My flock was scattered over all the surface of the earth, and there was no one to search or seek for them.” ’ ”

“ My people have become lost sheep; Their shepherds have led them astray. They have made them turn aside on the mountains. They have gone from mountain to hill, They have forgotten their resting place.

“ I will seek the lost, bring back the scattered, bind up the broken, and strengthen the sick; but the fat and the strong I will eliminate. I will feed them with judgment.

“ But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first and said,‘ Son, go work today in the vineyard.’

I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it back. This commandment I received from My Father.”Dissension occurred again among the Jews because of these words.Many of them were saying,“ He has a demon and is insane. Why do you listen to Him?”Others were saying,“ These are not the words of one who is demon possessed. A demon cannot open the eyes of those who are blind, can it?”

But He said to them,“ What man is there among you who has a sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out?

For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.

All of us, like sheep, have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the Lord has caused the wrongdoing of us all To fall on Him.

I speak as to wise people; you then, judge what I say.

I have wandered about like a lost sheep; search for Your servant, For I do not forget Your commandments.
