『你們中間甚麼人有一百隻羊，失掉其中的一隻，不把這九十九隻撇在野地，去找那失掉的，直到找着呢？找着了，就擱在肩膀上，直歡喜。來到家裏，就招集朋友和同鄉，對他們說：「和我一同歡喜吧，因為我那失掉的羊、我已經找着了。「我告訴你們，為了一個罪人悔改，在天上也必有這樣的喜樂，比為了九十九個無需乎悔改的義人，喜樂還要大呢。

牧人當他的羊有的四散的日子，怎樣將他的羣羊尋找到到，我也必怎樣將我的羊尋找到到，將他們從四散到的各地方都搶救回來，就是他們在密雲和幽暗的日子所四散到的。

耶穌對他們說：『你們中間有甚麼人有一隻羊，若安息日掉在坑裏，他不把牠抓住，拉上來呢？

你們像羊走迷了路，如今卻回轉過來、歸你們靈魂的牧人和監督了。

我們都如同羊、走迷了途，各人偏向自行的路；永恆主卻使我們眾人的罪孽罪罰都集歸在他身上。

我是拿你們當做精明人來說話的；你們要判斷我所說的。
