爾等於意云何、人有百羊而亡其一、有不暫留其九十九於山、而追尋其所失者乎：

他们必不再作列国的猎物，地上的野兽也不再吞吃他们；他们必安然居住，没有人惊吓他们。

我的羊在众山和各高冈上流离；它们分散在全地上，没有人去寻，也没有人去找。

我的子民成了迷失的羊，他们的牧人使他们走错了路，使他们在山上徘徊；他们从大山走到小山，忘记了他们安歇之处。

迷失的，我必寻找；被赶散的，我必领回；受伤的，我必包扎；患病的，我必养壮；肥壮的，我却要除灭。我也必按着公正牧养它们。

“你们认为怎样？有一个人，他有两个儿子。他去对大儿子说：‘孩子，你今天到葡萄园去工作吧。’

我是好牧人，好牧人为羊舍命。那作雇工不是牧人的，羊也不是自己的，他一见狼来，就把羊撇下逃跑，狼就抓住羊群，把他们驱散了；因为他是个雇工，对羊群漠不关心。我是好牧人，我认识我的羊，我的羊也认识我，好像父认识我，我也认识父一样；并且我为羊舍命。我还有别的羊，不在这羊圈里；我必须把它们领来，它们也要听我的声音，并且要合成一群，归于一个牧人。父爱我，因为我把生命舍去，好再把它取回来。没有人能夺去我的生命，是我自己舍去的。我有权把生命舍去，也有权把它取回来；这是我从我的父所领受的命令。”犹太人因着这些话又起了纷争。他们当中有许多人说：“他是鬼附的，他发疯了；为什么要听他呢？”另外有人说：“这话不是鬼附的人所说的。鬼怎能使瞎子的眼睛开了呢？”

耶稣回答：“你们当中有哪一个，他仅有的一只羊在安息日跌进坑里，会不把羊抓住拉上来呢？

你们从前好像迷路的羊，但现在已经回到你们灵魂的牧人和监督那里了。

我们众人都如羊走迷了路，各人偏行己路；耶和华却把我们众人的罪孽，都归在他身上。

我是对明白事理的人说的，我所说的你们要自己判断。

我像亡羊走迷了路；求你寻找你的仆人，因为我没有忘记你的命令。
