The Lord will command his angels to take good care of you.

The angel of the Lord stands guard around those who have respect for him. And he saves them.

All angels are spirits who serve. God sends them to serve those who will receive salvation.

“ Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered.“ Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”Elisha prayed,“ Lord, open my servant’s eyes so that he can see.” Then the Lord opened his eyes. Elisha’s servant looked up and saw the hills. He saw that Elisha was surrounded by horses and chariots made of fire.

Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared. A light shone in the prison cell. The angel struck Peter on his side. Peter woke up.“ Quick!” the angel said.“ Get up!” The chains fell off Peter’s wrists.Then the angel said to him,“ Put on your clothes and sandals.” Peter did so.“ Put on your coat,” the angel told him.“ Follow me.”Peter followed him out of the prison. But he had no idea that what the angel was doing was really happening. He thought he was seeing a vision.They passed the first and second guards. Then they came to the iron gate leading to the city. It opened for them by itself. They went through it. They walked the length of one street. Suddenly the angel left Peter.Then Peter realized what had happened. He said,“ Now I know for sure that the Lord has sent his angel. He set me free from Herod’s power. He saved me from everything the Jewish people were hoping would happen.”

Jacob also went on his way. The angels of God met him.Jacob saw them. He said,“ This is the army of God!” So he named that place Mahanaim.

One day about three o’clock in the afternoon he had a vision. He saw clearly an angel of God. The angel came to him and said,“ Cornelius!”

Micaiah continued,“ Listen to the Lord’ s message. I saw the Lord sitting on his throne. All the angels of heaven were standing around him. Some were standing at his right side. The others were standing at his left side.

You will show that I am right; I will enjoy your blessing. When I wake up, I will be satisfied because I will see you.

They hate evil people. But they honor those who have respect for the Lord. They keep their promises even when it hurts. They do not change their mind.

“ Do not look down on the small amount of work done on the temple so far. The seven eyes of the Lord look over the whole earth. They will see Zerubbabel holding the most important stone. They will be filled with joy when they see it.”

“ What if someone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin? If they do, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and be drowned at the bottom of the sea.

To those who are weak I became weak. That was to win the weak. I have become all things to all people. I have done this so that in all possible ways I might save some.

Suppose someone refuses to accept our teaching. They are not turning their back on us. They are turning their back on God. This same God gives you his Holy Spirit.

He will send his angels with a loud trumpet call. They will gather his chosen people from all four directions. They will bring them from one end of the heavens to the other.

The angel said to him,“ I am Gabriel. I serve God. I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news.

They were the men closest to the king. Their names were Karshena, Shethar, Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena and Memukan. They were the seven nobles of Persia and Media. They were the king’s special advisers and the most important men in the kingdom.

He will not break a bent twig. He will not put out a dimly burning flame. He will make right win over wrong.

But during the night an angel of the Lord came. He opened the doors of the jail and brought the apostles out.

“ My sword, wake up! Attack my shepherd! Attack the man who is close to me,” announces the Lord who rules over all.“ Strike down the shepherd. Then the sheep will be scattered. And I will turn my hand against their little ones.

Absalom lived in Jerusalem for two years without going to see the king.

Right away an angel of the Lord struck Herod down. Herod had not given praise to God. So he was eaten by worms and died.

It is the same with your Father in heaven. He does not want any of these little ones to die.

Now then, who are you to judge your brother or sister? Why do you act like you’re better than they are? We will all stand in God’s courtroom to be judged.

When the Wise Men had left, Joseph had a dream. In the dream an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph.“ Get up!” the angel said.“ Take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you to come back. Herod is going to search for the child. He wants to kill him.”

After Herod died, Joseph had a dream while he was still in Egypt. In the dream an angel of the Lord appeared to him.

“ You’re out of your mind,” they said to her. But she kept telling them it was true. So they said,“ It must be his angel.”

Accept the person whose faith is weak. Don’t argue with them where you have differences of opinion.One person’s faith allows them to eat anything. But another person eats only vegetables because their faith is weak.The person who eats everything must not look down on the one who does not. And the one who doesn’t eat everything must not judge the person who does. That’s because God has accepted them.

But as Joseph was thinking about this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. The angel said,“ Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take Mary home as your wife. The baby inside her is from the Holy Spirit.

“ The time came when the beggar died. The angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried.

Don’t you have homes to eat and drink in? You are shaming those in the church who have nothing. Do you think so little of God’s church that you do this? What should I say to you? Should I praise you? Certainly not about the Lord’s Supper!

Don’t eat meat if it causes your brother or sister to sin. Don’t drink wine or do anything else that will make them sin.

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young. Set an example for the believers in what you say and in how you live. Also set an example in how you love and in what you believe. Show the believers how to be pure.

Christ is humble and free of pride. Because of this, I make my appeal to you. I, Paul, am the one you call“ shy” when I am face to face with you. But when I am away from you, you think I am“ bold” toward you.

No one should treat him badly. Send him safely on his way so he can return to me. I’m expecting him to come back along with the others.

We who have strong faith should help the weak with their problems. We should not please only ourselves.

But food doesn’t bring us close to God. We are no worse if we don’t eat. We are no better if we do eat.But be careful how you use your rights. Be sure you don’t cause someone weaker than you to fall into sin.Suppose you, with all your knowledge, are eating in a temple of one of those gods. And suppose someone who has a weak sense of what is right and wrong sees you. Won’t that person become bold and eat what is sacrificed to statues of gods?If so, then your knowledge destroys that weak brother or sister for whom Christ died.Suppose you sin against them in this way. Then you harm their weak sense of what is right and wrong. By doing this, you sin against Christ.So suppose what I eat causes my brother or sister to fall into sin. Then what should I do? I will never eat meat again. In that way, I will not cause them to fall.

Let us stop judging one another. Instead, decide not to put anything in the way of a brother or sister. Don’t put anything in their way that would make them trip and fall.I am absolutely sure that nothing is“ unclean” in itself. The Lord Jesus has convinced me of this. But someone may consider a thing to be“ unclean.” If they do, it is“ unclean” for them.Your brother or sister may be upset by what you eat. If they are, you are no longer acting as though you love them. So don’t destroy them by what you eat. Remember that Christ died for them.

Some say,“ His letters sound important. They are powerful. But in person he doesn’t seem like much. And what he says doesn’t amount to anything.”

“ Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever does not accept you does not accept me. But whoever does not accept me does not accept the one who sent me.”

I belong to God and serve him. Last night his angel stood beside me.

Remember when I first preached the good news to you? Remember I did that because I was sick.And my sickness was hard on you. But you weren’t mean to me. You didn’t make fun of me. Instead, you welcomed me as if I were an angel of God. You welcomed me as if I were Christ Jesus himself.

Brothers and sisters, what if someone is caught in a sin? Then you who live by the Spirit should correct that person. Do it in a gentle way. But be careful. You could be tempted too.

I saw the seven angels who stand in front of God. Seven trumpets were given to them.
