For he will give his angels orders concerning you, to protect you in all your ways.

The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and rescues them.

Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve those who are going to inherit salvation?

Elisha said,“ Don’t be afraid, for those who are with us outnumber those who are with them.”Then Elisha prayed,“ LORD, please open his eyes and let him see.” So the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he saw that the mountain was covered with horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared, and a light shone in the cell. Striking Peter on the side, he woke him up and said,“ Quick, get up!” And the chains fell off his wrists.“ Get dressed,” the angel told him,“ and put on your sandals.” And he did.“ Wrap your cloak around you,” he told him,“ and follow me.”So he went out and followed, and he did not know that what the angel did was really happening, but he thought he was seeing a vision.After they passed the first and second guards, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened to them by itself. They went outside and passed one street, and suddenly the angel left him.When Peter came to himself, he said,“ Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from Herod’s grasp and from all that the Jewish people expected.”

Jacob went on his way, and God’s angels met him.When he saw them, Jacob said,“ This is God’s camp.” So he called that place Mahanaim.

“ But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to fall away— it would be better for him if a heavy millstone were hung around his neck and he were drowned in the depths of the sea.

To the weak I became weak, in order to win the weak. I have become all things to all people, so that I may by every possible means save some.

Consequently, anyone who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.

He will send out his angels with a loud trumpet, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

Don’t you have homes in which to eat and drink? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What should I say to you? Should I praise you? I do not praise you in this matter!

It is a good thing not to eat meat, or drink wine, or do anything that makes your brother or sister stumble.

Don’t let anyone despise your youth, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.

Now I, Paul, myself, appeal to you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ— I who am humble among you in person but bold toward you when absent.

So let no one look down on him. Send him on his way in peace so that he can come to me, because I am expecting him with the brothers.

Now we who are strong have an obligation to bear the weaknesses of those without strength, and not to please ourselves.

Food will not bring us close to God. We are not worse off if we don’t eat, and we are not better if we do eat.But be careful that this right of yours in no way becomes a stumbling block to the weak.For if someone sees you, the one who has knowledge, dining in an idol’s temple, won’t his weak conscience be encouraged to eat food offered to idols?So the weak person, the brother or sister for whom Christ died, is ruined by your knowledge.Now when you sin like this against brothers and sisters and wound their weak conscience, you are sinning against Christ.Therefore, if food causes my brother or sister to fall, I will never again eat meat, so that I won’t cause my brother or sister to fall.

Therefore, let us no longer judge one another. Instead decide never to put a stumbling block or pitfall in the way of your brother or sister.I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself. Still, to someone who considers a thing to be unclean, to that one it is unclean.For if your brother or sister is hurt by what you eat, you are no longer walking according to love. Do not destroy, by what you eat, someone for whom Christ died.

For it is said,“ His letters are weighty and powerful, but his physical presence is weak and his public speaking amounts to nothing.”

Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.”

For last night an angel of the God I belong to and serve stood by me

you know that previously I preached the gospel to you because of a weakness of the flesh.You did not despise or reject me though my physical condition was a trial for you. On the contrary, you received me as an angel of God, as Christ Jesus himself.

Brothers and sisters, if someone is overtaken in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual, restore such a person with a gentle spirit, watching out for yourselves so that you also won’t be tempted.

Then I saw the seven angels who stand in the presence of God; seven trumpets were given to them.
