Therefore we ought to pay greater attention to the things that were heard, lest perhaps we drift away.For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just penalty,how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation— which at the first having been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard,

Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, including those who pierced him. All the tribes of the earth will mourn over him. Even so, Amen.

This is that Moses, who said to the children of Israel,‘ The Lord our God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me.’

and the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily form like a dove on him; and a voice came out of the sky, saying“ You are my beloved Son. In you I am well pleased.”

Yahweh your God will raise up to you a prophet from among you, of your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him.

Yahweh spoke these words to all your assembly on the mountain out of the middle of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice. He added no more. He wrote them on two stone tablets, and gave them to me.

You came near and stood under the mountain. The mountain burned with fire to the heart of the sky, with darkness, cloud, and thick darkness.Yahweh spoke to you out of the middle of the fire: you heard the voice of words, but you saw no form; you only heard a voice.

God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds.

He rode on a cherub, and flew. Yes, he soared on the wings of the wind.He made darkness his hiding place, his pavilion around him, darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.

You called in trouble, and I delivered you. I answered you in the secret place of thunder. I tested you at the waters of Meribah.” Selah.

Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and Yahweh’s glory filled the tabernacle.Moses wasn’t able to enter into the Tent of Meeting, because the cloud stayed on it, and Yahweh’s glory filled the tabernacle.

Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love.If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and remain in his love.

When he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight.

For the Father has affection for the Son, and shows him all things that he himself does. He will show him greater works than these, that you may marvel.For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to whom he desires.For the Father judges no one, but he has given all judgment to the Son,that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He who doesn’t honor the Son doesn’t honor the Father who sent him.

The Father himself, who sent me, has testified about me. You have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his form.
