Peter exclaimed,“ Lord, it’s wonderful for us to be here! If you want, I’ll make three shelters as memorials— one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

Peter said to Jesus,“ Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters— one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.”

Peter responded and said to Jesus,“ Lord, it is good that we are here. If You want, I will make three tabernacles here: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

Then Peter answered and said to Jesus,“ Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

And Peter answered, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, I will make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.

Then Peter said to Jesus,“ Lord, it’s good for us to be here! If You want, I will make three tabernacles here: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

So Peter said to Jesus,“ Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you want, I will make three shelters– one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

Peter answered, and said to Jesus,“ Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you want, let’s make three tents here: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

Peter exclaimed,“ Rabbi, it’s wonderful for us to be here! Let’s make three shelters as memorials— one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”He said this because he didn’t really know what else to say, for they were all terrified.

As Moses and Elijah were starting to leave, Peter, not even knowing what he was saying, blurted out,“ Master, it’s wonderful for us to be here! Let’s make three shelters as memorials— one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him.And they will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads.And there will be no night there— no need for lamps or sun— for the Lord God will shine on them. And they will reign forever and ever.

O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water.I have seen you in your sanctuary and gazed upon your power and glory.Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you!I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer.You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy.

You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.

And the city has no need of sun or moon, for the glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its light.

Your eyes will see the king in all his splendor, and you will see a land that stretches into the distance.

Moses responded,“ Then show me your glorious presence.”The Lord replied,“ I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will call out my name, Yahweh, before you. For I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.

Many people say,“ Who will show us better times?” Let your face smile on us, Lord.

Philip said,“ Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.”Jesus replied,“ Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you?

I’m torn between two desires: I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me.

Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began!

Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is.

How wonderful and beautiful they will be! The young men will thrive on abundant grain, and the young women will flourish on new wine.
